If I may direct people to the Logitech MX Performance appreciation thread- http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=232486
I'm looking to buy a new mouse soon. Have a MX Revolution and as much as I love it for day to day usage, i'm finding the sensitivity lacking in games and was looking at a wired mouse. The Razer Deathadder seems like a good choice?
It is a good choice, especially if you palm your mice The guide is a little empty of knowledge atm, what I'm looking for in a mouse guide is something where the author has tried the different mice and given a detailed personal opinion regarding the comfort of each one. Even though it is a highly subjective matter, it would help the reader to get a grasp at least of how the mice would be. Also testing acceleration, max tracking speed etc would be useful. And even some information about professional players and their thoughts/choices regarding mice.
damn, never thought about the fact that I use the wierd fingertip grip. Don't think I've ever held a mouse large enough for me to palm it comfortable, I have Mionix Naos and it definitely seems too small.
I've found the R.A.T 9 to be really nice. It's small enough that you can claw it if you want to, but if you dump the larger palm-area on there and extend it back; it instantly becomes a palm-grip job. It's a wonderful mouse to use.
I'm a fingertip user. I find it so comfortable that last time I bought a mouse I got one that's too small for my palm to touch it (it's only as long as my fingers!), and it really is (for me) more comfortable than any of the larger or more standard mice I tried. I look forward to the day when I can control my computer input without the need for anay tactile devices )mouse, keyboard, touch scsreen...). I like the idea of selecting/running apps and browsing etc by just moving my fingers in front of a sensor
oh seems I'm just being ignorant, I've just seen both palming and claw grip discussed elsewhere, but never fingertip.
Noticed that too, it's probably because sometimes they use claw to describe both claw and fingertip grip. Anyway I use fingertip and it's the best tbh
Use to be a nice spreadsheet that listed mice, the sensor they use and any known issues like tracking, prediction, +/- acceleration etc but all i can find is a slightly outdated screenshots here http://www.scribd.com/doc/79000443/Mouse-Sensor-Comparison
Well, I'll tell you a little secret... I've never really had a mouse that was more than a tenner... I don't have a full claw grip, more a flat grip with slightly raised knuckles. As long as it's got a scroll wheel and a back/forward button I'd be happy with that! But a few extra buttons to become useful might be nice. Much appreciated .
