I tripped over those too... they look nice. I hope to put them to shame soon. Of course, Linear pointed out something about them when I showed them to him... get an antec and some wood veneer and diy!

I wouldn't spend that much money on one. Personally, I am quite happy with my aluminum surroundings (both lian lis) :)

it my only be as thick as a <monty python>Wafer thin mint </monty python>

but its the principle of the matter wood = an insulator and a silly idea (tho it does look good) and then they charge you a silly ammount for it . . . .

Why is everyone so hung up on the conductivity of the case??

well er yeah my case actually does radiate heat . . . this is bad tho as its a cheap non alu case and heans my temps go up to 60 odd under load due to lack of 1337 c001!|\|g hence current project "sort out my stupid temps" went underway earlyer (u dont know how many times i have tried to spell that now) today

I agree with eddie_dane, just get a nice case and slap some veneer on it. Then you can stain the wood to what you like. I think cherry with brass and a combo of blue and red leds along with some analog meters would be hot! Dye the drives black............... uh oh..........

/* looks into crystal ball and gets lost in thought
    [spooky music]
/* sees himself at the ironing board attaching wood veneer to outside of computer case
    [/spooky music]

Hes perfectly right, very, VERY little cooling is achieved via the case metal directly.
