From what I saw, you did the paintjob by hand.

How much time was needed so the paint to get dry? What paint you used ?

Djayness: I can tell you that i will do more than just plaster and paint it. ;)

    thegyufi: :hehe: Thanks! :D

Dk_vr: Yes i did the painting by hand, the brand of the color is DecoMax. When i put the primer on i painted really thin layers and it dried in ~1 day. With the black paint i put a thick layer on and now, 2 days later, it still is sticky(tho partially dry so you can touch it).

Just a small teaser of what will come! All i can say is that it was much harder to modify the aluminium than what i initially thought. :dremel:

This is just a work in progress and will look better when done. :thumb:

So far so good. I wonder what will be after the teasers.
And yes, aluminium is a bit tricky to work with material, especially for cutting.

Looks like some aluminium brazing (soldering or what ever other kind of voodoo you call it) to me :)

I really like the model on the first page! compact, clean and sexy.... looking forward to seeing it progress :)

Thanks! Probably more teasers until it is done! :D
The cutting was no problem but the soldering/brazing was hard.

Yep it is soldering/brazing tho really hard to work with. Thanks! :D

Okay, so a update. I accedentaly f*cked the box up, heated the aluminium too much and it melted in a corner. I was really angry after that but I'm glad that i had to make a new one. The second box is build on a much smarter way, here goes:

I have started to file it down in corners and such but i don't have a pic of it. I went home to my apartment a few days so i won't make a update until the end of this week, given that i went back to my dad that is. :p

I love ITX builds so that's me subbed. Can't wait to see the Asrock Z77E-ITX as it's simply the most beautiful board I've seen and I can't get enough of it.

    Update time!

Now it is time to uncover it's function, i'll let the series of pics below describe it! :p

So there you go! It is a SSD / Card Reader box combo, just to save some space. (The SSD casing i fine tuned won't be used when i got this now)

Oh, and one more thing. I received the motherboard for this build!

Great stuff! Love the "fusion" card reader/SSD combo, very clever.
