Just a rumour but T3 say it could be revealed at gamecon. http://www.t3.com/news/half-life-3-confirmed-at-gamescon
This was debunked two days ago. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-08-14-gamescom-claims-half-life-3-and-dragon-age-3-will-be-at-show
www.teamf6rtress.com/mvm/ Check that, if it takes you to MvM type it in manually. HL3 indev? The guy playing is a legit steam employee.
Nope, its a troll http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.385272-Half-Life-3-Indev-spotted-on-Steam
Why do you guys always fall for this ?! Every time someone spots a crowbar in the background of some valve clip (not even Valve these days), everyone freaks out and then out come the links and secret files and conspiracy theories. Valve have not been working on a HL3/HL2E3 Value will not be working on a HL3/HL2E3 I swear this has got to be the best troll of all time! Of all time!!!! /semi-sacastic-rant
Also probably fake: http://www.valvetime.net/threads/black-aperture-com-is-a-fake-website.181718/ ARGH! WHY SO MANY LIES!
I feel so sorry for Valve. How an Earth are they going to make an FPS which even vaguely lives up to expectations.
You never know. Whilst HL2 was incredible, this will have to be some form of epic. But why are we getting all excited over HL3? HL2:Ep3 hasn't even been released. Sent from my Orange San Francisco using Tapatalk
I think the hype is what stunted development or at least one of the reasons we've not heard anything. Also, they don't need the money - they can drag it out as long as they want lol.
Could be. I'm sure there was a reason EP3 got put on hold..and now it has been so long whatever they give us will likely be ridiculed. Especially as the Episodes were so short. I've given up on it anyway. Maybe they one day finish the story, or maybe they don't. My ears will prick up when a new Source engine is developed.
As long as it continues the story, I'd be happy, even still in the current source engine. Half Life, IMO, is all about the story, the game play is very simplistic, the graphics were great when they came out, and a selling point then, still look perfectly good now aswell, but they're not ground breaking anymore, but I don't care, they're good enough.
The graphics don't bother me, I just meant that when they announce a new Source engine I will be keeping an ear to the ground in case they are going to use HalfLife 3 as the flagship for it.
I think the truth about Valve is that they made so much money from Steam, that they ran out of places to store it, so they piled up walls of cash in stacks of 50's and they were 20 foot high, more and more walls of them. But now some of the key staff have gone missing, and they are somewhere in Valve HQ but they are in a giant maze of money and can't find their way out, and rescuers can't find their way in either. That's why they have been so obsessed with portals recently because they wish they could just teleport people out of there. And it's only going to get worse.
