I don't remember any prizes other than the £1000 I won a few years ago on Yougov. ^^

I've given away a lot more than I've won, so karma clearly doesn't work for me :(

Apart from a few small scratchcard wins, a copy of Dirt Showdown from TGS yesterday and the beautiful painting I won from Throbbi (well, his wife) earlier this year, I have actually won bugger all. Ever.

I want to win a car/TV/all inclusive holiday/the lottery, but no amount of competition entering ever seems to get me anywhere.

    Train Simulator 2012 from Bit-tech.

Pretty much all I've won in any sort of give-away or raffle or anything of the sort. I am, however, up $2 on my overall scratch ticket/lottery/casino/pull-tab total.

Christmas is nearly here, and we have a very special competition for you to help brighten the season for you. Not only can you win a shiny new 32" Samsung HDTV (with a built-in Freeview tuner, naturally), but you can also win an ultra-limited edition Darksiders Xbox 360, of which there are only 10 worldwide.

On top of that, there are also copies of the game to be won, as well as 7" figurines of the game's main character, War. The first name drawn from the GameSpot festive hat before it gets put away for another year will win all of the above--so that's a copy of the game, a figurine, a console, and the TV--and the next five lucky winners will all get copies of the game when it's released in January, along with figurines of War.

    here it is...

Sold the xbox 360 for £2300 though

Once did a competition on here and they phoned told me i came first blablabla, then asked who provided my gas... well i lived with my parents so they told me i wasn't eligible was about £1500 to spend in john lewis i think? :p

Before bit-tech I won a private tour around the WETA exhibition at Royal Armouries with Peter Lyon (head sword and armoursmith) as a sort of open Q+A session and learned some interesting facts you don't even get told in the LotR extended editions (probably due to the insurance companies being a little scared )

Oh I got to have a play with Sting.....the actual one that Bilbo gives to Frodo on screen :D

From what I can remember I have only won 3 things on 2 occasions,

    1. I once found £1, bought a scratch card and won £2, bought another scratch card and won £30.

    2. I entered one of Satan's competitions here to design a wallpaper for the desktop of PC's where he works, I won an SSD. :D

    A $100 dollar lotto scratcher when I was 18
$1500 from getting in CPU magazine
$250 twice for two different PC's in Maximum PC
    $500 for Bawl's Out-of-the-Box modding contest
A 775 motherboard back in the day for making the Hotbox of the Month in Atomic magazine
I've received about $2000 worth of free components through sponsors
I recently won a 3930K at an Intel event
$250 gift card for winning a sales contest

I'm not religious, but I know that all the giving I do to the community pays off in the long run. For instance Satan Claus last year cost about $500, but the 3930K I won easily paid for that. This years Satan Claus will be a $1000+ prize and I know I'll get it back somehow over the next year.

    I guess it's Karma:rolleyes:

It is worth so much more than that though. Last years christmas wasn't exactly a present filled extravaganza in my house. I spent 5 weeks before and 2 weeks after working 10 hour nights, 6 days a week so I spent christmas day mostly comatose. Having the new bits from that allowed me to sell my old bits and actually get my wife something nice.

I'd wager it will have the same effect again :)

An Antec Lanboy Air.... And I'd already had one of those cases before :wallbash:

Can't really think of anything else right now, only a couple of euros in lottery. One of the problems is that most competitions (in bit-tech anyway) are limited to UK only, so I don't even get a chance to take part.

won some decent stuff on various forum comps, including the 256gb ssd I'm currently using now a few 30gb ssd's an external dvdrw, ext 320gb hd, itx case and few other bits n bobs

and did a stint of comping a year or so back and won a few things
£500 diy store vouchers, some polaroid digital cameras, a couple of wii's, Sony blu-ray player, Nintendo DSI, samsung netbook

Still got most of the stuff I've won as well :thumb:, think I might have a another crack at comping as haven't won owt for ages and could do with a tv to hook the wii and blu-ray upto :hehe:

    Can't remember much if anything.

Most recent thing was £40 of ram from a game streaming site. Not bad for just answering a quick question. They were US based so were giving away a specific type, as it wasn't available / over priced in the UK they just paypal'd me cash to buy extra of what I already had.

I won a copy of The Tourists' Luminous Basement LP from BFBS radio when we were stationed in Germany. Also won a day out as part of the Yorkie Dirty Days Out promotion - driving ATVs & the like but I ended up not going to it (more fun in a Landrover!)

Other than a couple of £10 wins on the lottery & a £2~ win on the euromillions that's pretty much been it.

Oh, embarrassing moment, won a box of sweets for being the last dancer standing at my 4th year christmas school dance when I was 15 (as in, the teachers didn't tell me to go sit down cause I was dancing badly). That was a long long time ago!

Quidco had an offer going where if you bet £10 you got £20 from a few different betting sites, so it was a win-win situation.

After spending £30 I ended up about £150 up. Haven't gambled since apart from a few lottery tickets.

    Based on luck:

    -Small wins on lottery

    Based on skill:

-Won a photographing contest when I was younger, whopping 100€ gift-card to put on trust/fund investment, on a bank I was not even a client.

    That's propably all...

A bonus ball lottery at work, it was only a small company but it was still a nice boost.

It was a pound to enter.
