I have eagerly been watching the gradual decrease in price of Dell's flagship monitor, the U2711, despite it having had an update, there isn't much difference except updated peripheral sockets on the U2713.

I really want one of those!!! They are kick-ass monitors and well would partner GTX570 2.5 GB SLI pretty well. :) As soon as the price gets closer to £450 I shall be snapping one up....they are about £520 in places now!! :D

(£650+ was waay too much for me last year)

I paid £550 for mine. Well worth it considering I paid £450 for an NEC 20WGX2 20" IPS many years ago.

Given that I still use a 20" 1600x1200. Sure it seems to be worth it. That said, a U2711 might be nice too.

Note that some of the more barebones catleap/yamasaki are lagless.

Zero input lag is often a sign of poor pixel response time though... check carefully. Little point in having no input lag if there is smearing and ghosting on movement.

Any thoughts on the Hazro HZ27WC?

The Hazro is a good budget IPS monitor but you can get a refurb Dell U2711 for only £429 so it's probably not a viable saving; the U2711 is a far superior display even though the panels are the same.
