Narrowed my new monitor choice down to these two. Which one would be better? The 235V is only a little bit more expensive but they have identical specifications. (it states on the LG website the size is 21" but it is 23. Which can be seen in some of the specs). Thank You
Looks like the same, but different look. I think it's a regional thing. The LG IPS234V-PN, will have the plugs come out horizontally on the back. This will be ugly, in the name of mentioning "thin" on the box, and you going: "Oh WOW thin! Imagine all the space I'll save. Oh wait I won't, because the stand takes the same amount of space, and I'll have a tumor on the back of my monitor due to the cables being horizontal. In fact, I might even lose space if my monitor is against the wall. " While the other is the traditional vertical plug layout one.. so the monitor is thicker, to accommodate the plugs.
Right angle HDMI cable should keep it nice and "flat": http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/2m-rotating-hdmi-cable-with-swivel.html Wish there was a review of this somewhere, at the price it's very tempting.
Which monitor? I have the IPS234 and it's a beautiful piece of kit ( I have 2 actually, huzzah ). My only slight complaint is the matt film they use on the screen to reduce glare- it has a barely visible diagonal pattern that can be seen when you view the screen from an angle. It is barely noticeable though & you get used to it, otherwise the monitor is brilliant quality and a bargain price.
