Hi everyone A couple of friends just got married and have gone off on their honeymoon for a couple of weeks. The groom has left me his house keys so we can water the plants while he's away. This includes his tesco clubcard barcode. What I want to do, is buy loads of baby stuff and scan his clubcard, so that tesco start sending him vouchers for nappies etc. They're 22 and have no intention of having kids, so I think this is a reasonably good prank. However, nappies are expensive so I don't want to have to buy loads. So, does anyone know: 1. How many boxes of nappies would I have to buy before the clubcard computer thinks he has a kid? 2. If you take something back for a refund in tesco, do they take it back off your clubcard again? 3. Does anyone have any other suggestions for stuff I could buy to confuse the clubcard system? Thanks! ch424
Just buy some nappies, cheap baby items from the poundshop etc and go get some mothercare baby catalogues. Also sign them up to mothercare Pranks have a habit of biting you in the ass though so hope they have a sense of humour.
It would take a lot of purchases to start getting vouchers, and tbh it'll take an age for them to arrive. If you want to prank them, there are far better pranks. Personally depending on the type of bed they own, I would remove as many slats as possible before the mattress falls. Nothing nicer than getting home from a flight and jumping into bed. Also take said removed slats and wrap them in something cruel like cling-film+duct tape, then remove all cutting edges from the house. Leave slats under the bed, with a note saying "glad your home, this is going straight on youtube!" By which point they've pull the whole room apart looking for the camera
Just register them for the Boots Parenting Club. Easy enough to do and they'll get loads of stuff in the post for the next 3 years (unless they call to cancel it of course)
I think pampers do something similar. Personally I'd just move all the rooms around, or if you have to spend money re-decorate one or two of them.
This really doesn't qualify as a prank, if one of my mates pulled this after I had trusted him with my stuff then I wouldn't be speaking to that mate again.
tescos baby club is separate you need to sign up on the site with your clubcard number. so you'll get the vouchers without spending. but yes pretty lame you need to go bigger.
This. People tend to get a bit touchy over financial matters and vouchers, and you may prevent them from getting vouchers they actually value. Do silly little pranks like the gravy one.
This ^. @OP: What is his new bride is like? Is she going to like her new husband spending time with you after pissing her off royaly or will she find it all hilarious..?
I'm all for pranks but just think about when you get married, revenge!! Best mates getting married in March 2013, then I get married 2014, he's a lot longer to think about what to do to me if I pranked him. How about having a nice bunch of flowers waiting for her and his favourite cans in fridge for him
