CPU AMD CPU upgrade advice please!

    Looking to upgrade my computer cpu, have AMD phenom ii x 4 B55 on a Asus m4a88t-vevo/usb3
    motherboard.

    Whats good value these days £100.00 ish.

    Not really worth spending £100 on a new cpu from amd. What's lacking? What do you use your pc for. Would help if you put some system specs in your sig

    Problem is that the Phenom II X4 965 might not be that much of an upgrade at all from what you've already got, even if it's £80 from Amazon.

    If you're wedded to AMD, you'll have to keep waiting, you want a decent performance upgrade search some threads in here regarding a restart with Intel.

    Agree with whats been said above, it would be best if you just went with intel if you really need a performance boost
