    Thanks man! :)

That's quite a compliment! Thank you very much sir! :)

Well, I can you a block. You just have to ask yourself wether it's worth taking out a mortgage on your house for a CPU block!

    Thanks man! :)

I'm quite happy with it myself as well! :) Thank you! :)

Oh snap... Not sure I can keep up with that kind of quality, very nice man!
Btw, is that a 50x50x10 fractal fan? :)

Thanks a lot for the kind words! :)

Oh, I forgot. Got bored and decided to sleeve the wires for the control pcb, and mount that as well. Not quite done with the management of the wires, but it's a start. :)

I love any chance to use the :read: ... But right here it would be down right mean, as it would involve reading the whole log!

Links for RJ45 and USB's are in Post #384 on page 20.

And the video cable: search for "dvi to hdmi splitter" on ebay! :)

Thanks a lot man! :) Good luck on the build! :)

So I got this little bundle of joy in the mail today:

I decided to throw it in my pc to make sure it works before I tear it apart and void the warranty. :)

I have some problems installing win7 on it, and I can't do a secure erase on it with Kingstons toolbox... But that's probably what we in Denmark would call a "fejl 40" .. Which means "Error 40" - The problem is 40 cm from the screen, AKA ME!

So I'll be taking it apart tomorrow to meassure everything so I can make my own housing for it.
The initial plan was to do something with the logo, but since Kingston decided that they "will be unable to support you on this occasion" when I wrote them about helping out with a 120 gb ssd, I'm gonna go my own way with this! :)

So the weekend will be for designing, and hopefully I'll have something good to manufacture next week! :)

    Thanks a lot man! :)

Noone at work seemed to have a secure torx bit to open the ssd. So I (well, one of my coworkers actually) took a standard T5 (or was it T6?) and drilled a 0.7mm hole in it. Voila, now the ssd is open, and warranty is voided! :)

Or maybe I'm nuts? (Pun intended, sorry for the bad joke! :) )

This may be the most crazy thing I've done on this project but I really didn't feel like a normal nut would fit when mounting the CPU water block.

So I threw a design together in solidworks and let the cnc rip. :)

    And one for size comparison:

All in all, it should end up like this:

It's one of my nephews' birthday today, so I'm out for the day.

I hope that I'll get a good idea and design for the SSD case during the weekend! :)

C ya soon my fellow modders! :thumb:

OMG. You really have a lot of patience and eye for details when you made those nuts.

And don't worry about Kinston, they are not sponsoring at current time.

I did, but he blew them up!

Thanks a lot man! :) I wish I had the same eye for detail on the whole mod, but then again... It would never get done If I did! :)

Funny enough... I always give people a couple of extra screws and nuts when they come to the workshop, for the same reason. But this is me! Oh ye of little monkey faith!

I shall take a bow, and appreciate the rep! :) Thanks man!

    Honestly... I was bored!
And I don't care about Kingston. :) I decided to give it a try, and I understand if they don't wish to support a mod that is so close to being finished! :)
All I'm saying is that there will not be any evidence of Kingston in the final mod of this SSD! :)

Quick warning. The DVI to hdmi/dvi splitter I bought, does not work at all. It never occured to me to try it out before now... It gives me black screen on both screens... So I guess I have to get some new cables and shorten them... It sucks, but I guess thats life when you buy cheap stuff off of Ebay! :)
