so BL2 is supposed to be the big `f;lagship` for Physx..... how about BT do a Physx review? as in low end > high end stand alone *older* cards to see much if any difference when paied with something modern or high end?

say a GTX 680 paied with a GTX 260 for physx?

I think it's a given that using a dedicated phsyx card is pointless because GPUs are so powerful nowadays, and this game is very well optimized, much better than the first.

I run it on max @ 1600x1200 with Physx high and the lowest I've seen FPS go is approx 55. My mate has a 2500K and GTX 560Ti and he says Physx hits his system pretty hard in places. I'd have to check how many CPU threads BL2 is using, because BL1 really likes more than "just" a quad core.

I run it on sli680s was seeing FPS in the 120+ region with everything maxed then I vsi it to stop some tearing issues.

I'd imagine a single 680 670 would be able to max it np at all

Low down and dirty with PhysX GPUs. ... 2.8.4 is being used for BL2. ... as reviewers can now no longer test on a level playing field with Physx

I was wondering about this. I got a sudden very noticeable drop in FPS down to low 30s when a load of explosions (and some corrosive melting slime) all went off at the same time. Admittedly I play @ max with 2560 x 1440 but with 2 x GTX580s in SLI!

I think it must take quite a toll!

I use an 10% OC'd 560ti at 1080 with everything on high/maxed and, for the most part, it plays at a very nice fps.

However when there is alot to render I do see some noticeable frame rate drops, nothing that really alters the gameplay anyways.
