As others have said, I would love to watch BSG and Firefly again for the first time. Also Angel. The reason for this is the time I had it I had a company phone that kept ringing. I had to stop-start the final episode about 10 times and it totally ruined it for me. I rewatched it later and it didn't have the magic because I'd seen it before. Totally effed up.
Loads of good ones in here, but here's another question for you. Do you think the you now would enjoy it as much as the you when you first watched it? I mean, my TV tastes have changed over the years, TV itself has changed. SG1 started airing 15 years ago, while the 10 year old me loved every minute from the start, and this is why I love it to this day, would the 25 year old me still have the same excitement for it now if I'd never seen it? What would happen if you went back and watched and was like "blimey this is crap, why am I watching it" losing all those memories of your favourite show, never to know just how much you loved it! I know it would probably be very unlikely for me as I like pretty much any SciFi that comes on the TV, I just started watching Eureka which I'd never seen and that has a very similar episode/series formula as SG1 had and I really enjoy that, but is that influenced by my love of SG1? or my love of SciFi in general. Suppose I/We will never know what would happen, but just putting it out there.
I think I'd still love all my current favourites if watching them now - my tastes have altered over the years, but not enough that I wouldn't like them. For example, I have to moderate my Trek watching very carefully - more than a couple of episodes in one go and very often I have to watch the whole stream beginning -> end. Then usually watch the other streams.
House, Firefly, SG-1, BSG 2004, just for starters - it'd be soooo good to watch them with a clean slate. I'd also like to erase Big Brother and The X Factor, from existence.
Erase all the Jim'll Fix It's I ever saw One reason ...... I almost got on the show after writing in Talk about a close encounter !!
I suspect this may be a bit of an entry, but if it could only be one show then I think I'd go for Ally Mcbeal. When it aired in the UK on Channel 4 I think it coincided with an awkward time in my teens and I found the show had a good mix of humour, quirkiness and comfort tele and I was hooked to it. At least I was until the series when Jon Bon Jovi turned up and never seen it since, but have fond memories of the comfort I took from that show. Probably goes without saying that I haven't seen most of the shows already listed in this thread - no BSG, no West Wing, no Lost, etc. etc. Two other shows that have been listed though that I am very fond of are Cheers and Quantum Leap. Not sure if I want them erased from my memory though cos I like the nostalgia I get when I see them now. Currently enjoying the re-run Cheers is getting on ITV4 as it's many years since I last saw it. Not necessarily the out-and-out funniest show ever, but I've yet to see anything with as much charm and Ted Danson will forever be an inspiration in my eyes. Can someone tell me why Arrested Development is so good. I sought it out during a Netflix trial, watched 2 or 3 episodes and saw no point in investing any more time in it, just wasn't finding it amusing enough.
At the moment it would have to be Castle*. Stana Katic, Oh Nom Nom Nom! *The main reason being my wife is absolutely hooked on it (can't blame her TBH), but she easily forgets what happens in each episode (who the killer is etc). I don't forget so easily, therefore I know exactly what is going to happen. It can get a little frustrating at times. But then again... Stana.... I would have said SG-1, but rewatching it on PickTV (Weekdays at 8PM) has made me realise all of the little things I have forgotten. I love it!
A friend of mine has had some memory loss as a result of her epilepsy, things blanked from her memory include Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. Tv shows I'd have to go with -BSG -Chuck -Homeland -Firefly (but never watch it again, I'd hate to deal with having no more again) -Red Dwarf -Takeshi's Castle
Dollhouse, Continuum, Darker than Black - It want the time wasted watching them back. Fringe - I want that sense of back. And Season 2 and 3 are my favourite ever. Breaking Bad - Season 1 I found had a dark humour that I liked. Supernatural - Just because it wasn't **** like it is now. Bleach - I've watched it so much that I just can't watch it anymore and I love it. Futurama Community Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes Spooks Thats about it
