Job interview with SEGA yesterday went extremely well, annoyingly its a 2 interview process but I've been assured that I'm in the second.

Haha I know what you mean. Couldnt even muster a simple apology.

Either way Im on the Retail business sides of things, I just know how to make money. I have no idea about OSX or any expeirance of the Apple computers lineup.

Major unexpected windfall.

 

since signing up to being a youtube partner ive just had my first paycheck come through.

certainly wasn't expecting it to be that much

 

Ya know I heard some of the big streamers etc make 2k a week from YT.

I too, am intrigued by this. Are we talking ten pounds, or ten thousand pounds?

 

Finally managed to swallow my pride, build up a little courage and force my way into getting a better deal on my internship contract. Just had to admit it was my own fault that I'm behind schedule to graduate then do a little negotiating to arrange for another year. It's a massive weight of my chest. Now I just need to keep a steady pace and I'll have a full-time permanent position waiting for me!

 

Depending on who you listen to, it's something like $1/£1 per 1000 views. It's a very complicated system however and the value of views and click on adverts ( placed on your video or website etc ) varies a lot depending on how many views they actually get on a given day, or some nonsense like that ( looking at my Adsense overview right now and it's a mind-**** for sure ).

I placed a couple ads on each of my website pages 4-5 months back and I've made on average about £5 per month from ~6000 views a couple dozen clicks each month. They don't pay out until you hit £60 though so you need to have a popular site to make any real money from it. Same applies to Youtube & being a partner ( which you can straight away now, don't have to wait until you hit ~10,000 views which means us guys who joined youtube a while back have missed out on a few quid, rather annoying ) though I've made only pennies from that side of things

 

After a seemingly successful interview yesterday I received a text today telling me I got the job. I start Tuesday for Induction. Then will be on permanent nights for the coming months over Christmas.

Will be working Thursday - Saturday 11pm till 7am. With overtime I could work up to two more shifts.

Thats Christmas sorted and my next Computer related purchase more HDD space.

 

My replacement SSD has just arrived from Crucial, my laptop is now running at full speed again which makes me (just hope this one survives unlike the last 2)
