A/V Sound Card

I'm a bit of a late comer to this thread it seems but I have an ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 This one coming in the post tomorrow.

From onboard sound I can hear my HD spin up, or better yet, if the image on screen changes I can hear that, or when scrolling a web page!

Ill post in here tomorrow about the difference.

 

I'm saving money for a tube headamp with built-in Burr Brown DAC. Already has the schematics on paper, just need the money for the parts (estimated cost : 300€)

 

This Teac is a great starting USB DAC Headphone amp, especially at this price.

 

Nice unit ... but I'm really willing to built mine. It's a whole porject including ITX workstation, DAC + headamp, power amp ... all three unit with matching "HIFI style" case .... and the back loaded horn full range speakers

I realise that this is an outdated reply, but it might still be of help: I got this with my D2X until I started using the Unified drivers which you can get from here

These were created for similar reasons to the Daniel K ones with Creative.
