So I'm new here, been tinkering with PC's what feels like forever though now I'm generally just using them for work.

Here's my current machine anyway, nothing special but she does the job:





i7 920 @ 3.2ghz, 22GB RAM, (2x8, 4, 2, odd I know!), a 6950 and 120gb vertex 2, inside a Silverstone Fortress.

I'm looking to purchase a new machine soon for a bit of number crunching, and also run a 2012 MacBook Air for work!

Hi.

I'm new, and since my account have beed deletet 3 times now (problaby cause i didnt have anny posts)
I like reading diffrent type of buildlogs, and clean builds, and crazy builds are my favorite.

I will in the future make a buildlog when i'm going to wc my define r3 based pc.

Welcome to the forums and our apologies, dude. We currently have about 600 spam accounts registering every day and we delete them every evening (along with a similar amount of spam posts --this is why we have the first-ten-posts-moderator-approval rule).

We filter out the spam accounts by listing all the accounts that have 0 posts (because spam is deleted, only valid accounts tend to have more than 0 posts). Of course there is a risk of deleting lurkers by accident. We are usually pretty good at spotting legit accounts (and face it, your username doesn't come more legit than that ) but very occasionally someone gets caught in the crossfire.

For anyone else reading this, if that happens to you, please just re-register and post something in this thread. It will get approved and your post count will be 1, and this will remove you from the filter automatically.

Hi everybody. Used to be a regular lurker back on the Custom PC forum but I fell out of love with it when Dennis ****ed the site over.

But time has passed and my interest in PCs has been reignited, plus having had a read of the general forum it seems to be pretty good humoured, so I think I'll feel right at home

I've been joining various forums over the years and never really delegated one has my 'home' or 'first stop' if you like. So the past few weeks I've been revisiting current forums to see if I want to permanently be there or elsewhere. Hopefully I can get along here as it seems largely active and suits my interests!

I've been lurking here for a little while now but finally decided to sign up. Just finished a new gaming build which I'll post pics of later:

Intel I5 3570K at 4.6 with the Intel RTS2011 water cooler (totally underrated!)
2x EVGA GTX 680SC in SLI
16gb Samsung Eco Green

...and as of Friday a Yamaksai Catleap Q270 - possibly the best purchase I've made in years!
