iceman, what sort of voltage were you running your ram at (everything at for that matter) to get your recent 1200mhz fsb achievement?
default volts since there's not a chance in hell i'd get the RAM to run at DDR600! I had to use a memory divider to bring my RAM down to just over DDR400 speeds and my RAM's happy at that speed with stock volts. Chipset voltage was 1.6v (1.5v default) CPU voltage was 1.6v in bios so very low for me
whens it going to go all freezy frozen then? as it doenst even look like its anywhere near its limit if you got ddr400 to run at ddr530 have a go with some ddr466, could have potention to run at 600, maybe? EDIT: by freezy frozen i mean in the vapo
<offtopic>Mr Tad, what's that binary in your signature? It's not anything sensible in ascii, unicode or hex </offtopic>
yes, it really needs running the ram in high voltage (above 2.7v) in aggressive setting to keep the system stable or sometimes it even refuses to boot if u dont. however make sure your ram has a good heat spreader.
I've not had much luck with DDR466 tbh, since it's either made by OCZ or TwinMos. The OCZ stuff I've taken to DDR510 but after that it just dies. I was stupid and left my Vapo PSU at home so it's going to be next week before I can power it up again
Mains voltage? thats sooooo last season. I hooked up my 16Mb 72 pin EDO dram to the National Grid whilst dipping it in a liquid helium/four-leaved clovers solution in order to get it to DDR666!!!
