In the market for a new GPU, looking at nvidia 660ti or amd 7950
    Any input would be appreciated
Current card is a gtx 260 that has served me well

The 7950 is better in benchmarks than a 660ti, but if those cards are representative of your budget, why not go for a 7870 xt such as this. It is very similar in performance to the cards you mentioned and cheaper than both :).

This shows the comparison of the 660ti and 7950: link 7950 looks better on paper!

Also what monitor/s do you have as the higher vram on the 7950 will help with multi screen setups.

The 7950 I have just bought overclocks further than a stock 680 or 7870 GHz, if that helps tip the balance...

Ive had a 670 and a 7950. For me the 7950 was faster and quieter and not to mention cooler ...

Given the price difference between the cards the 7950 is a clear winner. Cheaper than a 660Ti. Aria always seem to have good deals on 7950's.

What's your actual res? The one above doesn't exist.

the never settle reloaded bundle can also give you a wedge of cash back if you sell the games. Or some good games to play if you keep them.

Thanks atc, those benchmarks make the 7950 look more tempting

no problem, I couldnt find any comparing either card to the 7870 xt as it is fairly new but sits somewhere between the two.

It's hard not to be biased but my 7950 is clocked at 1ghz, plays everything on near max and is no louder than other fans in my case.
