Sorry suragh, I've been trying to add new police recruits today just struggling with budget at the minute.
The region play mechanics in this game are strange. On the one hand they seem almost essential given the limited size of the cities, but on the other hand they can seem to break the game entirely. This is how my city is currently: I realise the layout isn't exactly great in terms of reducing traffic, but several of the game mechanics seem to break down when you get to this stage. Currently I have about 5 garbage collection sites, each maxed out with garbage collection trucks, and they are still barely collecting half the trash my city is producing, and hardly any more compared to having only 2 landfill sites. This is causing ground pollution which is in turn affecting my water supply, causing people to get sick. Also, I have no recycling center in my city, so previously my city didn't produce any recycling and there was no issue. However, when my neighbour built one and sent a couple of trucks my way, it caused my city to become overrun with recycling because that wasn't anough to deal with a population of more than 200k. So the only was to fix it is to build several more recycling centers at 110,000 a pop to deal with it, which I have no room for anyway.
Sim city is one addictiv game thats for sure. I have 2 rec centers and make a fortune of them Plastics is 12k + a day alloys is 48k + a day. Easy money to build stuff with.
Loving the layout, Gunsmith. Quite pleased with my first city, given the limitations of the river: Anyone else getting a bug where some buildings won't attend school despite space and buses, forcing you to demolish and rebuild?
there is a load of pathing issues still in the game, heres hoping they sort it out as im getting tired of my emergency services getting stuck in traffic and all responding to the same call out when another building/person is on fire.
Yup. Occasional glitches here. Not serious ones and the game itself is stable and hasnt crashed yet. Hopefully it will get patched out.
Wow - surprisingly it very hard to make money with casinos early on! The running cost of the buildings is unreal, and it adds to you city specialisation costs. My first Casino was making a 15k an hour loss, then later a 25k an hour profit, however you don't get that profit, but a small tax related proportion of best I can tell. I had a train service that was being used by 10k sims a day, a bus service there 30k sims a day used it and an excellent 6 lane ring road to the key parts of my city. I had an expo centre, tourist buildings to help bring people in to my town and a ferry system there 1000 people a day were using it. I was connected to 2 other of my friend’s cities in my region and my crime was low because I build a police precinct which had a dispatch tower, 32 police cars and a crime prevention unit. I had 125k city pop and a good mix of low, med and high wealth citizens yet I was not able to turn a decent profit. Anyone got any tips for being more profitable with a gambling city? I did have a gambling HQ, but to get specific upgrades mean getting 100k a day daily profit! I am really enjoying this seriously addictive game
It seems that adding new players to your region later in the day can cause issues with crime etc. I think that TSB & MMC struggled a bit while I was away, sorry if that didn't go down so well. Maybe we'll need to start a new region from scratch another time.
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/03/12/simcity-server-not-necessary/ This is an interesting read. To sum it up the server stuff isn't necessary it seems
So what do you guys say, it is working correctly now? Is it worth the 60€ Origin asks for it ? My only other alternatives are: - go to local shop and buy it for 54,99 € (+2€ for public transport) - order it through internet from same shop for 47,99 € + 3€ for delivery, but i would have to wait 3 days In other words, at best i can save 9 euros, but at cost of waiting.
Server isn't necessary for single player, maybe (reports indicate the game runs for a while before complaining - is that complaining due to the local machine hitting the buffers without server data?), but it is essential for region play...and region play is vital to actually playing the game properly. The only real solution I can see is allowing local region servers (ie: your computer also runs the software to manage the region).
its £45/51euro Also i tried the indian proxy but there origin site do not have the game for sale any more use the addons
