The Ducky G2 Pro TKL was my first choice. I might have to go for the grey on white PBT in one of those as a good starting point. If I could find the elusive white engraved then it would be perfect :)

Not really, I'm sure it's better than GH at this point though.

Yes when they were being constructive. I recall them derailing threads with nonsense and pics of minifigs about as often. Personally I found it funny a lot of the time, but it sometimes caused quite a disturbance.

$90 for that! wow... I dread to think what you'd catch from that keyboard...

Now if that was TKL with Reds...

I just contacted el2k about his Leopold to see if he still has it kicking about. I am not 100% sure about the quality compared to a Filco/Ducky, I imagine it is slightly lower but much higher than a Poker. The only worry for me is the funny mounts on the spacebar!

I am also not really sure what profile the Leopold keys has, I thought OEM but have read they are the same angles as OEM but shorter?

And what is the deal with everyone on GH hating on Cherry stabilisers anyway?

I prefer cherry stabilisers, but I've just picked up a space bar and the positioning of the stabilisers is different to those on my board. :grr:

I'm tempted to hack up a couple of caps and glue them in.

According to this page you would have the same issue as I would on the Leopold. But as it suggests you can use a signature plastics universal spacebar. I think I read somewhere this morning (cannot find the link again) that the KBC PBT spacebars have the right mounts too, I think that is what qtan sells and what George linked me to a few posts back.

I'm in Rochester mate, might drop in after work and have a look just in case.

I might replace the odd key but definitely not all of them, so is UK ISO layout definitely the best way to go?

Fair enough - if you were ever Ashford way you'd be more than welcome to pop in and try both reds and browns (I have Filcos with both!) to compare. Up to you on the layout if you're not so interested in switching whole sets of keys - I've grown to prefer ANSI but I only went that way mainly to be able to swap whole sets of keycaps

I had a few Leopold FC200. They are easily as good of build quality as Filco in my opinion. They are really nice keyboards, and asides from the minor annoyance of the spacebar an excellent choice. If one knows they will be switching full sets often it might be worth taking it apart entirely and modding the plate to accept a standard 6.25 stabilizer spacing. If I were ever to get one again it's definitely what I would do.

As far as ISO replacement sets has gotten a lot easier over the last year for OEM profile, and will get easier still with some of us driving hard to get high quality options available though both GMK and other sources like BSP for PBT dyesubs.
