Motors Seen anything cool on the road lately?

I'd rather have the Mulsanne for being up front. Although, if we're talking about any luxo-barge for driving, I'd take a Maser QP over them all tbh... and if I was slightly less of a grown up, probably would have.

And if we're talking about being driven, nothing can match the plushness of a Maybach
(Not speaking from personal experience, mind, but first hand accounts)

 

Yes, I'd have a QP over just about any four-door to be honest, a neighbour has a black one with the tobacco seats and it's just stunning...

Comfort-wise I'd heard the Phantom was better than the 'bach (2nd hand of course), I guess it's horses for courses!

I think the Wraith has been designed more to be driven than driven in, as they're often used by their owners as runabouts when the chauffeur is away (or fired!)

 

On the way home tonight (Wrexham-Chester area) I passed a yellow Murcielago roadster (top down) and a (sadly trailered) Ariel Atom or similar exo-frame sportscar.

 

Silver Ferrari 458 parked outside restaurant I regularly pass on my way into lectures. Annoying that they had to go and buy it on my last day of term, won't see it for another 5 weeks now.

 

Saw a Bentley Continental the other day, parked up in Manchester. Not a cool paint job. Someone's got far too much money.

 

Double post but almost completely unrelated. It seems Volkswagen have released a new model - the DUB - in Belgium.

Looking at some photos on the internet with particularly badly pixelated number plates, it would appear to be the case.

 

And it's a wrap, not a paint job.

 

Either mad Mario has sold it to somebody equally bonkers, or he's going to have an epic parking ticket when he eventually returns from Milan.

 

Followed an Aston Martin DB5 today from wrexham for a few miles. Looked and sounded great.

A an e-type, a few old MGs and a Ferrari 458. Saw a California on the M6 earlier in the week too.

 

Saw a brand new Red Ferrari California and a purple GTR at Bicester Village. Also keep seeing this car driving around Oxford, a Toyota Will Vi.

 

I was in my local dealer taking a car for a test drive and they had this in there. It is the car that McRae crashed on the final stage in Wales costing him his second WRC title.

No interesting cars to report really, they don't come out in Illinois until the snow's well gone...

 

Drove past a VERY crashed C63 AMG in white the other day.
By "VERY" I mean that it clearly rolled over it's boot/trunk a few times... I hardly recognised it as an AMG merc, since it looked like a hatchback.
Speeding Idiots.

I'm guessing that's a Sierra RS Cosworth behind the WRC car... nice little collection there!

 

They have an odd collection of cars there. They are a Mitsubishi dealer with a car in the Scottish rally championship which used to be driven by one of the guys who presented the Channel 4 rally coverage and was good mates with Colin McRae, (I can not remember his name now!) which is how I assume they got hold of the car.
