Yes, it was pretty awesome. The finish it's got for all the edges, and the interior corners are all nicely chamfered. I was quite impressed with it. We even through around the idea of using 4 of the mobo standoffs as feet for it in a test-bench set up. With a tray that solid, there's a LOT of possibilities.:D

avolla, pretty sure you should go back to an ATX scratch build idea ;)

I love the motherboard tray and can't wait to see it in person. If it looks as good as it does in the pictures I may just have to...

Cheers Bill, good to know you liked that build, I look back on it with more fondness than when it was actually work in progress.

Do you do any cable management products ? I'm not talking cable ties but something like cable splitters that can be clipped on. I hate cables and like how Kier separates his cables. It'd be great to see a product like that on the market.

@Ninja, Glad to hear, Thank you for your post!

Hey Mos & avolla, Supposed to be real nice weather this week!

We're adding Ameritool's Gas Spring gas charged lift spring to the other side of the Tech Station. This is just added measure to help carry weight of the cover and extend lifespan of actuator and prevent cover from slamming shut, in case the actuator ever broke or failed for some reason. I've chosen the 10 pound lift rating for their 750-4 Stainless Gas Spring

    End Fitting: EFC-10M included
    10mm Ball Studs Sold Separately
    MATERIALS & FINISHES EXTERNAL SURFACES:
SHAFT: Chrome Plated 316 Stainless Steel
    CYLINDER: 316/316L Stainless Steel

Sold in Pairs Only, $108.86, so we'll have spare for future project.

I think the gas shock will add to the overall look of it.

Now you're gonna have to come up with something awesome to use the other one in

@Asouter - Those would be difficult to do since everyone uses different wire/sleeve. Then there's the problem with doing them in metal: What if it touches exposed electronics?:worried: REALLY voiding your warranty. I know no one here is that dumb, but I I've had a few days...

@Mos - 3 more, 4 10 lb springs, and some wheel arms... Just what this rig needs, a way to move to it's intended victim! -on a smoooooth riding suspension.

That's great for tubing but I had something else in mind, I'll have a look in the next few days as I have an idea for my build and hopefully share with the community.

Lol Cheaps, I'm sure I've had a few nominations for a Darwin Prize too, but yeah I do see the problems that doing them in metal would pose.

@Asouter, please keep me updated if you can, I've seen your work and curious what you have in mind :thumb:

@Mos, OR you may have a project for it....

The gas springs should arrive this week. The minimum pressure for the 750 series gas spring is 10#. I've also ordered a 625-4 gas spring to try, it comes with bleeder valve, so we have option to bleed off pressure below 10#... I've gotten one of these in the past, and once you bleed it, theres no turning back...

Like I like to say when woodworking... measure twice, cut once... and then sneak up on it.

@Mos, was at new Menards and wandered down Woodworking aisle, and thought to myself, Mosquito has probably eyed that Bench top sander....lol

I was able to sneak into workshop yesterday and install the I/O plate, so I could test fit the mobo and Titan :thumb: still waiting for custom gas spring to arrive....

Nah, I've got handtools for that. What I keep desiring first is a Rikon drill presses or bandsaw... but for now, the use time would be rather limited, so I'll just keep on keepin' on with amassing handtools

Fit of the I/O plate into those supports looks excellent. Excited to see this thing come together :thumb:

I see how an 8th GPU slot would be handy now. Someone who's never SLI'd anything shouldn't be designing for you guys.
