I have made the backplate, but before fitting it i made some of the pcb black.
As you can se i did the eges with permanent marker. then i placed the backplate on it to figure out how to mount it.
no pictures of the mounting as im not happy with it.
here you can see the black ege, its better but i dont like it. so i will probably make most of the pcb black.
I Also got a new tool, a drill press
    [IMG]
    it has an rpm meter
    [IMG]
    and a depth masure
    [IMG]
some ligthing so you can see what you are doing
    [IMG]
    and an laser center
    [IMG]
it makes it easyer to use.
    thats it for today :)

    - PSU update

My AX760I from Corsair arrived yesterday
    [IMG]
    Nothing to see here :p
    [IMG]
    There it is J
    [IMG]
    Getting to the good stuff
    [IMG]
    nice corsair packaging
    [IMG]
    Getting there :p
    [IMG]
All the cables, they are pretty good however it would have been easy for corsair to sleeve it all the way to the connector. And then having the heat shrink go on to the connector.
The unit itself with the fully modular interface J
Now I´m trying to figure out how to use the cables and the extensions I have in conjunction as I only have 2 PCIe cables and I need to run 4. That’s all for now.

The mod is coming nice together :)

I think you shoud chamfer the front edge down to the alloy plate..

That would make an awesome transition.

    Like this :)

But awesome mod, Peter - now i miss my TJ07 :)

    Thanks ;)
Its been a while but that’s life with school and family, this will be the final pictures (until I get my aluminium) I have learned a lot and improved my basic skills like sanding and painting etc. I like to think that I can be a good modder but I don’t think I’m good enough to ask for sponsors or even help for that matter, not that I don’t want it but having a professional obligation to a company is not my thing (for now) well enough blabbering, here are the final specs:

    · AMD 955BE @ 4,1ghz 2600mhz NB and 1,50V
    · ASUS Sabertooth 990fx all black
    · Corsair Vengeance LP 1600 8gb black
    · WD blue 500gb
    · WD 250gb
    · Corsair AX760I with a few NZXT extensions
    · 2x AMD 6950 2gb´s @ 820 core 1300 mem one by MSI and one by Club3D

    The cooling:
    · Silverstone TJ-07B
    · XSPC Raystorm AMD
    · 2x EK 69xx full cover blocks
    · Swiftech MCP35X
    · Alphacool Cape Corp Coolplex Pro 25 LT
    · Phobya G-charger 360 rad
    · Alphacool 480 UT 60
    · EK and Noname fittings
    · Masterkleer Tubing
    · 4x Bitfenix Spectre Pro 120mm fans
    · 2x arctic cooling 92mm PWM fans
    · 5x Fractal design 120mm fans
With that out of the way to the pictures

Very cool looking case! The wood inside is stunning!! I have to admit that I like the white GPU backplate more than the black one, but that's my opinion of course! Looking good!

It's always cool to see a TJ-07 mod :thumb:

I'm rocking one myself as my "non modded" case and even though the quality of the case isn't quite, well Lian Li, I still love the look and feel of it. TJ-07 project logs also give me inspiration for possibly modding my own in the future.

The color scheme you've chosen is something that will always look classy and I do like the use of mahogany on the divider plate. It is however quite a "heavy" looking piece of wood at the moment. This is just a suggestion, but it would look cool if it was at the same level as the up-bent alu.

If the board is all mahogany and not just veneered, a thickness planer should do the trick. That is if you have one you could borrow or use. I'd also like to see you incorporating more wood as you go along.

    Keep up the good work!
