    It seems that Virgin's fastest connection is just as slow as their others for upload speeds. I was hoping for 10 Mb uploads

    Assuming you're on 100 meg, you should be getting 10 meg upload, give them a phone or try outside peak times.

    They're upgrading 100/10 meg people to 120/12 too, so you should be on that sometime in the future.

    Can't seem to get speedtest.net to work properly, but the UPC speedtest showed 149.5MB/s, and my actual downloadspeed in uTorrent was 45MB/s max. We pay €87/month though (incl. TV and Phone).

    BT finally pulled their thumb out.

    1 and a half months after first booking the Openreach engineer, I have internet; and the speed is Godly. Going up to 330Mbps downstream in June :D

    I think this the fastest commercially available (i.e. not trial/pilot) residential UK speed I've seen in this thread so far. I'm feeling pretty chuffed. Now I just need to get a better router to handle all this bandwidth...

    EDIT: Connection slowly creeping up as it settles in anyway... I hope it goes beyond 330Mbps when it's made official too!

    @TheStockBroker:
    231mpbs = faster than 92% of GB
    299mbps = faster than 90% of GB? :D

    Wow, that's the highest I've ever seen of this (powerline) connection!

    Tried it at a random library computer at uni too because I noticed the downloads went pretty fast.
    Result was 753 Mb/s. :jawdrop: “pretty fast” indeed, I'd think. Didn't save the picture or anything, was too much of a hassle and needed to get to a lecture.
