That's not even close to being true. Taking Q1FY2013, just 'cos those are the figures I happen to have to hand, revenue from consumer GPUs was $579 million, from professional products was $212 million, and mobile products was $132 million for a rounded-up total revenue of $924 million for the quarter. From this, it's clear that revenue is dominated by consumer GPU products - the company's other activities don't even come close to matching the money raised through consumer GPU sales. Granted, that will be shifting somewhat now thanks to whatever cash it's raising through its GeForce GRID products, but they're niche products and won't be selling in any great volume just yet.

As I've previously reported, the company's margins are currently sat at around 54 per cent. How much of that margin is aided by consumer GPU? A surprising amount: in fact, GTX-grade consumer GPU margins are higher than Tegra margins. Don't take my word for it, though: here's Jen-Hsun Huang saying the same thing.

So, from Huang's comment, we can rank Nvidia's products in margin order as follows: GeForce Grid; Tesla; Gaming GPUs; Tegra; Low-End GPUs; Notebook GPUs.

The last two are likely neck-and-neck - feel free to swap them around if you like - but it's clear that Tegra is less profitable than the company's gaming GPU line - and significantly lower volume, too.

Trying to convince rollo that AMD is a viable option, or that his opinion might me factually wrong:

Never change rollo, I enjoy you for what you are.

760ti will be priced at or just above 670's price.

Decided to buy a new GPU soon. Had my eye on a GTX 670 and now I don't know whether to see what the GTX 770 will be priced at.

    Should I sit tight?

I'm sat waiting without a proper PC ATM and after reading reviews on the 780 immtrying to work out if I should take the plunge or will prices fall like they did for the 7970 when I paid 500 for one in week one and they were 100 less soon after.

I read somewhere a while back that the 760ti would actually come in below the 670 in terms of performance. I'll see if i can find it.

I'm the same on this one. 560ti is getting a bit long in the tooth now and I definitely want to upgrade. Just deciding on a 670 or go for the extra and get a 770.

Cant wait for Maxwell though, my 560ti wont last that long!

Know what you mean. I am running a AMD 6870 at the moment, and although its done me proud, its starting to struggle. Definately set on a Nvidia card next though, as only ever had AMD.
