Cheers mate, I'm not too sure about getting the armor at the minute. If it was something that I could have bought at the same time then it would have OK to install whilst building but I'm not too sure that I want to redo it again or if I did then maybe getting another 680 Classified would be needed to make it worthwhile Next step is watercooling as the window just screams for something more than just people seeing what hardware you have inside. And I think that'll mean no optical drive looking at the available room in the case.
Just some old pics, got 2x 580s in there, next on the wishlist: obutto revolution cockpit, 3x 27" ips screens, nice wheel, pedals, speakers etc etc
George. Can i ask.... Does the thermal armor covering the mosfet come off seperate from the rest of the armor? Or is it all one piece? Nice build btw
Thanks mate In answer to your question, I'm not sure - I'll take a look... Back in a minute! Edit: Just taken a look and the answer is that it's all one piece
I think It's worth taking a moment to photo my new PC seeing as the guts were open today for an upgrade to the h90 cooling (2x noctua 140mm NF-A14 PWM fans). It's a Haswell build for gaming and the video editiong work I do on a day to day basis for my YouTube channel! Specs: CPU Intel i7 4770k GPU Asus GTX 780 3GB MOBO Asus Sabertooth Z87 CASE Corsair 550D HDD 256GB Samsung 840 Pro | 2x WD Red 3TB RAID 1 PSU Corsair AX860 COOLING Corsair H90 2x Noctua 140mm NF-A14 PWM Radiator Fans 2x Corsair 120mm Front Fans 1x Corsair 140mm Bottom Fan PICS I really would like to hear what you guys think! Personally I am completely in love with this machine! Ability to record 1080p 60fps motion jpeg like for like capture is an absolute godsend for me, not to mention being able to do it in any game I throw at it! Oh and don't worry, the picture makes it look like there is no ventilation room at the back but there is at least 10 inches!
Looks really good - not bad specs either!!! Nice & tidy on the cable management side of things too Another fan of the Z87 Sabertooth then? And filling all the slots with the dust covers too
I basically made sure everyone on this build had as long a warranty as it pretty much could have! As this is 50/50 workstation/gaming pc it needs UP-TIME more than anything else. The Sabertooth seemed to really fit the criteria here with it's 5 years warranty! Very impressive. Oh and thanks for the comments, I'm certainly happy with it, even if it is predominantly air cooled!
Here's a quick snap of my sig rig, taken at the weekend. It was kind of spur of the moment (had the prime on the camera for something else), but thought I'd share. I'd just installed some shiny new Ballistix RAM (I'll work on clocking that at the weekend ) which currently 'clashes' a bit with my fairly RoG theme, but that's OK for now... The PSU is scheduled for a bit of a colour change though (or replacement ) EDIT: After much faffing, here's the pic!
Cheers! It still needs a little bit of fettling, but I'm holding off for now until I buy a Define XL R2 and then get all of the components wet
why no love for the ITX? Once I figure out / buy short cable set ill post pics of my mATX build. ATM can't close side panel as I'm no good at cable management.
