Damn that's nice :jawdrop: I wonder what small part of the featherbed frame is used as they never made mono shock versions :D

Many years ago I put a CB550 in a featherbed frame with RD 400 forks/wheels and a Dresda box section swinging arm with S&W air shocks with a home made fibreglass tank/seat unit... Oh boy, that really upset some folk, they used to leave notes on the bike saying how blasphemous it was to put a jap engine in a Norton frame and when I took it to a brit bike show they wouldn't let me in  Ah, they were the days :cooldude:
I used to argue that "At least I never cut the frame to fit the Honda motor unlike some who butchered it to fit Vincent engines"

I don't get it, your saying that innovation and experimentation is killing the bike industry?

In hindsight, I'm saying that Bit-Tech needs [sarcasm] tags (they could turn the text pink, or something, to make it more blatant).

Annoys the crap out of me too. Everytime someone who doesn't know much about bikes sees my bike you can pretty much guarantee the "what is that pot of yellowey stuff on the handlebars for?" question! I got so fed up of it i put a black wristband over it and now noone notices it

I'd just play it straight and say "yeah, I keep a sample of my urine on there in case I have an accident and they need to run a urinalysis real quick at the hospital."

Just to see if anybody would actually fall for it.

Just called up my insurer; £120 to add pillion cover, including an admin charge of £32.50. Ridiculous. I see it as like buying car insurance without cover for passengers.

However they did say they can't stop me taking pillions: they're just not covered if I kill them. Which is nice.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, even if you do have any sort of accident, there will be some clause in the fine print which will allow them to wriggle out of paying.

Insurance cover only valid if three weeks after the accident, at the exact same time but at a location 350 miles north, by 15,000 west by 30 miles down, a teapot spontaneously blinks into existence for 10 micro seconds before vanishing in a cloud of pantone PMS 3165 smoke

Yes, but you're forgetting that said pillion is an attractive young lady, who I've just bought a helmet, and who insists that she likes 'going really fast' :naughty:

I think I got flashed by a speed camera yesterday though, was doing just over 30 according to my speedo, looked over my shoulder, and it flashed; however it only flashed once. Hopefully nothing will come in the post in the next couple of weeks. If it does, then there'll be a good picture of me looking over my shoulder right at the speed camera, with a mirrored visor on, so knowing my luck, someone would see that and give me a fine for that too!
