Update 1: Starting the project, CNC, cutting up sheets

And so we start the project. Building Diamond Cube would be impossible without CNC. Using CNC and appropriate End Mills, we cut acrylic sheets into panels.

So here it is, my main worker:

    and his co workers :hehe:

Acrlic sheets are mainly cut using 3mm Single Flute Carbide Endmill.

    So let the cutting begin.

Cutting logo, we change from 3mm Carbide Endmill to 1,5 Carbide Endmill.

Then to have some "curves" we use V-Bit.

    And when cutting is finished:

As you can see on finished logo and panels, these Carbide Endmills are professional quality and do anaizing job (extremely clean cuts)

Update 2: Partial Assembly, more cutting

Today we cut more panels and welded come case panels.

Diamond Case is asemmbled only with welding, no screws are holding panels together. This makes the case very strong and prevents panels from bending, when we put hardware in our case.

You have to be careful welding, because if you make a mistake, you have to star all over again. Welds are so strong, because no glue is holding panels together, ou are literaly welding acrylic panels.

Also finished panels are 8mm thick, with welding two 4mm panels. This also makes the case stronger and gives me more modding options.

    This is front panel, ready

Back panel also ready for welding.

A good start! Some good use of the V bit cutter. What is your normal line or work if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks imersa. I was working on a CNC in a company that constructed camping cars. It didn't work out, because it just wasnt what i wanted to do. So i created NFusion PC Cases and now im doing only what i love, building cases.

Ah that is fair enough. You have some great machining skills. Working for one of the few acrylic case companies I wish you all the best mate!
