Recently, every time I use my pc, I get about 30 mins of use before I get a BSOD. The details are as follows: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 2057 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 50 BCP1: FFFFF8000CB78210 BCP2: 0000000000000001 BCP3: FFFFF80002F6A1FF BCP4: 0000000000000002 OS Version: 6_1_7600 Service Pack: 0_0 Product: 256_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:\Windows\Minidump\082013-45692-01.dmp C:\Users\Andy\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-58687-0.sysdata.xml This has only just started in the last month or so since I moved house. At first, I was having temperature issues, my cpu was at 99 degrees on idle. Since then I have taken off the cooler, cleaned it and the CPU, reapplied thermal paste and put it all back together. Temps went down to around 30 degrees on idle. Since that problem was dealt with the BSOD has started. I have reformatted my C drive and reinstalled win7 Ultimate 64 several times now but I keep getting the same error code. My system specs are: CPU: INtel i5-750 @ 2.66Ghz Motherboard: Gigabyte H55M-UD2H RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 1600 MHz GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD5850 PSU: Be Quiet 650W Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. Any help with the above will be greatly appreciated as I am getting to the point now where I am considering just binning the pc and starting a fresh new build.
Stick it in dropbox and send me the link The file you want is C:\Windows\Minidump\082013-45692-01.dmp
ntoskrnl.exe+6f880 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA usually points at memory. Can you post up the log file as well please from C:\Users\Andy\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-58687-0.sysdata.xml
I'd run a memory test on both your system & your GPU. I'd say it's one of those two areas. After that a disk scan and potential repair install would be advised.
Just got a different BSOD code, the dump file is www.dropbox.com/s/w9ortkt1dradl7q/082213-42775-01.dmp Got BSOD whilst trying to install a new update.
Ok, so I ran memory test and everything is fine. I then went to use MSI Afterburner and a pop up window tells me there is no display driver installed. Anyway, I ran dxdiag and my GPU isn't even detected. I'll try reseating it and reconnecting power leads. Incidentally, can anyone recommend a fairly decent GPU for around the £200 mark? I'm tempted to go for Nvidia as I have always used ATi and feel like a change. I'm not overly bothered about max frame rates for Crysis 3 or anything like that as I mainly play WoW or SWToR.
Ok, after doing a full fresh install, everything went well until I installed my GPU drivers, as soon as they were installed, I got another blue screen. So I'm guessing that my GPU is screwed?
I tried older drivers and get the same problems. Thanks very much for all the help. New GPU time. Good bye to the HD 5850, Hello Nvidia GTX 760
