Coilovers will be coming with time :cooldude: Im going to replace a lot of bushes with poly ones, get some g60 top mounts and fit my 25mm front ARB first to make sure it handles first. At the moment with the warn old bushes its too unresponsive. I do love this car but with it being almost a 1/4 of a century old, I tend to replace one thing and something else breaks :hehe:

I know its the least imaginative wheels I could have went for but they are popular for a reason.

Ryan always manages to find a way of getting a mirror finish on things like these.

They wont be used enough to worry about cleaning. I dont want to use adapters as they will lower the offset too much l, im going to get them welded and re-drilled. Two of the lips are like new, the other two are slightly curbed so I may aswell swap them for wider ones.

Phase 1 will be a Garrett T28, stock internals and stacked head gaskets = 230-250bhp
Phase 2 will consist of a stronger gearbox, LSD, forged internals and bigger turbo = 350+ bhp

Nice. Stacked head gaskets sounds a bit worrying?

I'm really hope to put a mapped PD130 in my Caddy this summer, assuming I can bag myself a summer job...

Good choice those PD lumps are bulletproof! Do you have a build log for your caddy?

Stacked head gaskets get a lot of hate but there are some proven hardcore track cars on CGTI running 250/260bhp without issue. A full rebuild with forged internals will come eventually.

Sooo jealous, I have a mk4 1.8T, currently at 218bhp. I would love to pick up a mk2 and transplant my engine over but I just haven't got the space to do the work :(

It would be worth renting garage space just to do it!

I built mine on the patio under a gazebo haha

Slight change of plan, 2.8 VR6 to eventually be turbo'd.

    I hate you guys!

I have the space, the drive, a storage unit, the tools and a mechanic dad to do this, just no funds I can spare

Current state: 2.8 VR6 turbo, aiming for 400bhp.

Close on 9 years & 'not finished'... or is this a perma-WIP?

It 'finished' each winter, used in the summer and then rebuilt again. It's an ever-evolving waste of money haha.
