Case Mod - In Progress GoldTouch - Lian Li PC-A60C CU edition

I've done more progress on the case and cooling system. I come show you the new parts and last mod on case to allow the watercooling.




Cooling parts showed:
Koolance HX-362 (radiator)
Bitspower Bronze Age 10/13mm (conetors)
Alphacool AlphaTube HF Red 10/13mm (tube)
Alphacool Cape Corp Coolplex Pro 10 - Copper Edition (reservoir)
Bitspower 120 Radiator Holder (radiator support)
Bitspower G1/4" Red O-ring
Bitspower Anti-vibration Silicon Pad - Red (for screws)



I've done the hole on the removable tray for the Bitspower fillport.




The res will be hanging in the air like this, fixed on the back with the help of the 90º Carbon Black from Bitspower.



The pump on the front radiator looks like this from the tray side.





The pump too will be hanging in the air like this, using a 90º "double S" from Bronze Age series of Bitspower.



The front radiator have one 45º Bronze conector on the other side.

On the front the radiator was already assembled with Phobya fans, Allen m4 screws and silicon red pads from Bitspower.


On the front, CCFL controller from Bitspower, not yet modded, but will be.


The Alphatube, what you think of the color?

 

Hi,

After i take care of the mainly limitation cooling component, the big 240mm radiator, it was time to see the result of the tube and fittings route.

With the help of 90º, 45º and S snake curve fitting from Bitspower i ready all the system outside, trying to achive the best route. On this next Modding Video Series i show you the rad and the cooling layout.

Reservoir in final position, with 90º fitting on top for conection to GPU.





The 240mm Phobya rad is ready with the fittings. Stop fittings Bronze Age from Bitspower, carbon black 90º on bottom and double S snake 90º to garantee the curve for reservoir connection.





Now ready the radiator with Phobya fans, Bitspower silicon pads and Allen m4 black screws on the Bitspower 120mm radiator holder.




Fittings on the radiator are like this inside the case.







Main look of the rad, missing yet the holes to hold it. I like the look, very sleek.

Hi all,

Time for more mods, so i install the memory kit + convertion kit of Bitspower to RAMs over the 16GB of DDR3 kit, Kingston Predator. I change all the o-rings to red too. See all this and a little guide of how we did it at the next video (portuguese audio):




First we had to take out the stock heatspreader and apply the Bitspower kit.


The new heatspreader will grant the contact between chips and block.

One 8GB kit done, another one left to mod!


Another mod was change all the o-rings from black to red.

We were invited to show this project on PCGuia, one if not the biggest tech magazine of Portugal. Here is the parte 1 of 3 of that exposure, for you to see before entering part 2 worklog updates.


Some of the cuts were made at the top, primarily for power supply. Too the holes for the support Bitspower to the radiator. Here is the YOUTUBE:



Now proceed to some more changes in the box, in this case more small but necessary changes. I leave you with the YOUTUBE coverage of the same:



Wanted to keep the board tray in total function, even modified to be fully functional in gliding and practice. Again a Modding YOUTUBE Series to cover the mod:



During an assembly, and especially those involving many elements are easy things get messed up and generating a large volume of material on the worktable. Exclusive, here is a YOUTUBE of our table during modding treatment Goldtouch:

We did a coloring Mayhems Pastel White color for copper. Here is the result of adding some of them Dyes

What do you think of the look?

The two GPUs watercooling were not easy, not at all. Here is the work required in terms of connectors and how to approach the situation:




The Acrylic Tube with the Bitspower C47 connectors to aid in assembly, without liquid.

Altogether there are two radiators that will mark this project, one of Koolance 120mm and other Phobya 240mm. But the same approach was not working simpleton, quite the contrary.

How about this mega provision?


Lighting is the most important factors of a project, as well as the control of the fans and cooling elements. With the help of the Bitfenix Hydra Pro and XP Bitspower II was that we achieve:




Hydra Pro at the front.

The invertor was hidden in the remaining space of the bays.


One of the CCFL was switched to the side of the motherboard.
