OK audio guru's, need some advice.

Looking for a new set of IEM's or in-ear 'phones. Budget of around £100. Can probably go to £100 for a replacement amp as well if the Fuji is going to be an issue, but only if really needed.
These are to be used daily for the walk to work, all sorts of music from punk, metal, Scottish folk, dance and audio books --- don't ask, I have weird tastes :)
Not a fan of full size/hipster headphones, bleargh!!!

Currently running Sony MDR-EX300, powered by a Sansa Clip+ and a Fiio Fujiyama.

So, recommend away and ta in advance.

I'm delighted with Shure SE215s, and they would comfortably come in under budget too as a bonus.

+1 on the Shures. I wouldn't even bother using them with an amp, they sound fine straight from a Clip.

if you can stretch to them, UE 900s are half price direct from logitech right now, 169 instead of 330. i got some at full price back in august and they've been fantastic.

I really like Panasonic's in-ears. The buds are at an angle that seems to fit more ergonomically than other headphones I have tried.

Bit late, but I'm a self-confessed Sennheiser fan so I'd go for IE-80s - all-round they're pretty decent, my music tastes are almost as varied (heavy metal, classic rock, musical theatre, jazz, easy listening, acoustic).

That said, sound is an extremely personal thing, so if in doubt, try and get to some stores and try a few out - I've always been pretty impressed with Sennheiser all the way from the CX-300 to IE-80 but YMMV :)

Love my IE80s too and they are really solidly built too.

I have Ajays four - I think they are awesome, and I have comply memory foam tips on them, which I also think are awesome.

Another Shure e215 user here, my first 'decent' IEMs and I like them.
Come with 6 different tips (3 sizes and in 2 materials), and although I think ideally I'd want something between two of the sizes they're still quite comfortable and sound good :)

I like the comply tips too but they disintegrate so quickly it would cost a fortune to use them all the time...

Have had them in circa 2 months at the moment and they are just as good as when new, maybe this will change. First time user! I don't put my iem's in my pocket though, Ikeep them in a little pouch in my work bag, maybe this will prolong life?
