Buy an Xbox One then as it seems Microsoft are pitching it as more than just a games console.

Nah, I'll stick with the PS3 and let the dust settle first, I'm not going to be a first mover with this one.

Cancelling my pre-order in GAME, then decided to build a PC instead.

Probably going to cancel mine too, not due to this stuff but seems I did not get the whizzy pre-order bundle I wanted from Amazon :( so I'll wait until I find a good price, was only after playing Killzone anyway along with the extra controller and camera.

'The Music Unlimited streaming service will allow you to listen to music while you play PS4 games. A subscription to Music Unlimited is required.'

"minimum of £4.99 a month for Music Unlimited's Access Plan or £9.99 a month for the cross-platform Premium Plan"

" but you can pay to stream it from Sony's Video Unlimited instead."

"Other features, too, appear to be moving the PS4 into far more of a limited, locked-down system than the PS3: the FAQ listing confirms that the PS4 has no support for external hard drives, something the PS3 supports just fine."

"its executives have taken to social networking services to quell unrest."

    No thanks.

Sony just has other priorities at the moment. Gaming related ones. Down the line they will probably add these features as well but a PS4 is a poor substitute for a HTPC anyway.
Microsoft will probably tell you anything you want to hear right now. Oh wait nope, no mp3 support.

Yes sorry if it is, i did try to search for other details on this 2nd update but unsurprisingly came up blank. Maybe its a good thing for the Sony PR to be saying "we'll feed it back to the developers" if it was for a reason other than it just not being supported in the software i would have expected a definitive no.

Indeed, although it does semi-support MP3 if your willing to stream the MP3 from a Windows 7/8 PC or a Windows phone. (maybe that their plan to sell more copy's of 8 :naughty:)
