Yeah; it's a really nice colour scheme. I've never uttered the words "Wow that noctua fan looks nice in that build" before either.
Thanks a lot! Yup, the color scheme is very natural to me. But I have to be sorry, it is not a Noctua fan... It's actually a painted Cooler Master fan.
Update 9 Here I am again! Did some planning for the cablemanagement, see how I want it to be. Drilled some holes for this. I hope you guys understand more or less how I want the cablemanagement to be. This is how I'll do the 24-pins. Nice curve down here so I don't have a looot of cable visible at the motherboard. Cables for the HDD cooler and the extra 8 pins which has to go somewhere lol. The HDD Cooler. Fan cable. And that's not all! I finished up the frame! Well, all the wood works haha, still needs to be painted etc. I have to admit that I was scared that I wasn't able to build it haha but I did so enjoy the pictures! What's next? Probably the ricepaper and those little pieces of wood I want to place inbetween the bigger frame. Let me know what you think so far! Adios!
Update 10 Aaaand I'm back with another update! In this update you can see the color of the frame and GPU, trying to match everything together for the best final result. Here is the frame with 1 layer of color. A 2nd layer will be added for a darker tint. And I found some matching paint for the graphics card. I failed the first time painting it because I removed the tape and destroyed the paint with that haha, but this time it went pretty good. And I put the frame together, just to see how it starts to look. All coming pretty well together. Put the smaller pieces of wood inbetween to see how that will look. And if you thought that would be it, it is not! In this super big update I can also show you what I'll do with the inside of the case and the hardware. I'm gonna cover them in wood! This to try and hide the blue colors, which I don't want. And to make it look more elegant on the inside. See here, some wooden covers! Aand put them in the case to see of course. So, the problem I found here is that the wood isn't very visible inside the case. I'm gonna solve this by adding 2 layers of color to make it the same color as the bigger frame. That's for the next update. Let me know what you think! That would be appreciated! Adios!
Update 11 Here we are again! This time I painted the wooden covers and they look sweeeet, at least I think they do So here some pictures of those. Also made some extra cooling holes. I really love this pic The GPU backplate! And of course the cooler. The GPU doesn't really fit anymore so I have a little bit of sanding to do to make it fit. Everything together! And since I can't stop showing pictures, here some more! The hardware inside the case. Wooden cover hasn't been fixed yet. Need some different standoffs. Still a bit messy here but gonna clean that up soon. That's it for now! More soon! Adios!
Update 12 I'm back with another update! This time I'll show you what I did with the motherboard heatsinks and also the beginning of the outer side of the case with some ricepaper. So I wanted to match the heatsinks with the rest of the case because they were black with blue and that did not fit at all. I've showed pictures before where I already put on some tape but here is the final result! And now the ricepaper. I attach it to the case with some simple double sided tape. Make sure that the texture on the ricepaper is straight with the rest of the case. And I started with the smaller pieces of wood that I'm placing inbetween. A small piece of wood to cover the cables in the bottom of the case. Didn't like them being visible. Needs some finishing touches! And here you can see wich way I'm going with the pieces of wood. Gives a very nice look from the inside aswell. And outside. Oke so I forgot the on/off buttons etc. in my design xD Now I have to come up with another solution which will be a little box I can place outside or inside the case. It's also going to be made out of wood and will be painted darker. That's it for now! Thanks for watching and I hope you guys enjoy it! Adios!
Temps on MB First of all sweet build, really like the woodwork! But have you noticed any negative change in temperature by painting the heatsinks on the mobo?
Thank you, I'm glad you like it and no, I have not noticed any change in temperature except for maybe 1 or 2 degrees. I'm honored!
Very interesting build!! Think it's going to look awesome once done! Congrats on the nomination for M.O.T.M.
