    Hmmmm....

    1990 car
    2013 stereo

No problem though I since I have an ISO to bare wire cable, and it looks simple.

So, I've connected the earth, battery+ and ignition+ but there's no life from the stereo, regardless of whether the ignition is on or not.

I measure good voltage as I'd expect so there's definitely power.

Nothing else is connected - no aerial, speakers or dimmer, and the unit is not mounted yet, it's just loose on the car seat.

    Help!!!!!

PS: The old Blaupunkt Radio Cassette works fine...

Cleggy and his vintage car/new stereo.

I have a power aerial, which goes up when I turn the radio on, down when I turn the radio (or ignition) off, if that helps.

Are you sure the head unit actually works?

What happens if you connect the speakers as well?

Happy me, all sorted, and it's very nice to have everything integrated without Parrots, CD's, tapes and wires. Just need to put some black duct tape around the inside of the cage to hold it a bit firmer and mask off the bare metal.

It sounds fine, though doesn't like FLAC which is a shame since my 2500 albums are all encoded that way. Looks like DBPoweramp will come in handy for a batch conversion next weekend. Wu-Tang first, of course :)

New speakers and cables next, assuming I can pull them through taped to the existing ones - don't fancy pulling the carpet and seats out...

It's always the late 80's in my car, that's why I love it so! And it took me ages to find an interior that matched my boudoir so closely :)

A wee bit more help please... I paired this no worries with my 12 year old Nokia for phone calls, and after a bit of a faff paired it with my work phone (Samsung Galaxy S).

My wife paired her new iPhone no worries but I can't get my Nexus 7 to pair for love nor money. The two things see each other and the stereo shows "Connecting" but always fails. No biggie as I'll not use it, but it's bugging me all the same...
