    I am Imagining it now.
    In the white house,
Bush, "Heh, Heh." "Whats a hard drive?" "A compooter do hickey?" "I thought it was a a boner or a very Hard-Drive!" :( Got to work on that one.

Sooooooooo, Or fate lies, ONCE AGAIN, in the hands of a complete moron! AHH ****! :wallbash: Or a multi million dollar settlement.

Why the hell doesn't some body rid us of this IQ -189 dumb **** and let a real leader take over. I hate you Texas and all your people for having made him and voted for him. :grr:

This only means that those two people will be sought after by, m.............a mysterious assassin. Because they are the sole reason HDD's will take a huge Price Sike.

And we all thought it would be a nuclear war that sent America back to the dark ages... nope just a simple patent infringement case. Fool ass Amreican legal system.

Anyone notice that Samsung and Hitachi aren't mentioned? I personally feel Sammy and Hitachi drives are the best out there. No Seagate or WD? Okay, I'll stick with a 1TB Hitachi that performs better than most every 7200RPM drive out there :)

I think business will suffer more considering that every business depends on hard drives.

    I hope they don't...

every datacenter in the country is reliant on HDDs for the massive amounts of storage we use everyday.

Doubt they'd stop imports of HDDs. Most likely this will go to court and they'll be a settlement.

Quite a thread revival, though I imagine nothing came of it. It's a stupid patent infringment case anyway, it's like someone patenting "using a hammer to make something", and then demanding everything in the world is prevented from being sold.

The lawsuit states that the above companies either make or sell the hard drives in their pc's, so while Seagate, WD etc are the main culprits, HP and DELL are putting the Hdd's into their pc's and selling them in the USA so are guilty by association. Could this mean that if the ban goes ahead, prices will fall in the UK and Europe as there will be a surplus of Hdd's for a while?

Seriously someone should kick someone out of the white house, or a devil shall "infringe" on a god forsaken wood pecker for the "sake of national security"

Seriously, necroing a four-year old thread? C'mon, dude... How do people even stumble across these ancient threads in order to necro them in the first place?
