Thanks guys. I have a couple of ideas on the speakers but I decided that I will not be integrating them into the desk. The desk is currently taking up valuable space in the workshop so I have to get it done ASAP. I will still work on some of the ideas I have to mod the speakers but I will only be doing that when the desk is painted and at home, which means that I will have to make the brackets/kits or whatever I will be doing, will have to be bolt on.

Hoping to get the desk completed and painted by the end of the week.

I do however have some worries around the painting. I'm not sure whether I should spray paint or if I should use sponge rollers to paint the desk. Does anyone have some experience in this? Do keep in mind that I have NEVER painted anything except a house lol.

So I've been quite busy but my cellphones camera stopped working. So I had to borrow my friends phone to take some pics, but it was difficult to get the pics from him lol.

So I bought a cheap reservoir...

    Test fitted..

Then started to sand, that was a lot of work

Started painting the primer with a sponge roller until I could decide on how I will do the actual painting...

Then started sanding. Now this is something that I will never repeat, the amount of sanding that had to be done is ridiculous, I spent 2 hours sanding the routing around the table top, totaled 4 hours on sanding, now imagine that on 4-5 coats... That's around 20 hours, so screw that :geek:

Then came the scary part, the actual painting. I decided to spray paint it to skip all the hours of sanding, and I thought that spray painting will look much better anyways.

Now I still need to paint the top of the desk. Will leave it to dry over the weekend and I need to get some more paint on Monday. Got the powdercoating back, but they coated the legs the wrong color :duh: so I will have to send it back.

More to come, hopefully it will be final pics :D

I am happy to announce the desk build has finally come to an end :D

I completed the painting on the desk (will get back to that later).

I then assembled the desk at work and transported it home.

I assembled the watercooling loop and let it run for 12+ hours to make sure there are no leaks and then installed all the pc parts.

So here are the final pics...

Still need to decide on what I will do with the speakers but they are for a later date. Until then I mark the post as completed.

    Comments/Criticism welcome

Looks nice, very clean finish. Fan grills look great in front too.

Personally I couldn't handle a desk without drawers, but to each their own :)

Thanks guys. I should have a photo that shows the legs in detail. Will look for it, will also try to get a better camera for some nice photos

EDIT: Here's some shots when I assembled the legs at work...

    Reset button :D

I used a stainless steel button there for reset and just above it I have a arcade machine button for the power
