What's ruining my brother's life? My brother's 2001 Pontiac Sunfire finally gave up the ghost.. So he asked me to get the sound system out of this car since it's an aftermarket system. Shame that the car is dead.. but that's life.. Oh well.. At least this car was a good one.. but there's alot of issues with the engine.. High Mileage.. etc..

So not worth the time to rebuild the engine because the cost to do that will be almost like a used car price.

    My life is pretty decent.

Horrible Kev, I hope he makes a good recovery :(

I just found out that my sister's husband tried to hang himself with a belt a few nights ago, they are having a terrible time.

Lazy CAD users. How hard is it to bind all your xrefs and purge the layers before sending a drawing out? The amount of times I have to go back and ask for all the other drawings and get "the what? It works OK here" back in return. Then when I do get things through, I have to spend half the day (or longer) cleaning the layout up until I can use it.

Or 100s of scales when 1 or none are used

Or everything on different layers with names that make no sense to what's being shown on them.

I could go on but this has killed enough time that it's now time to shut down and go home.

Ugh, I can relate to this all too well.

My personal favorite so far: Someone not knowing how lineweights work simply slightly offsetting a line multiple times so it appeared to be one thick line.

Not come across that one yet but multi coloured rainbow drawings (using colour for lineweight which is the same as we do) with no enclosed print config is a favourite.

99% of the drawings I get in are architectural (I design lightning protection systems) so I often get floor plans for every floor but no roof layout... All I need is the roof layout plus some elevations, where else are lightning conductors going to go?

Hah, I work with lightning protection as well from time to time as well. Not designing, just making sure systems meet requirements for explosive storage facilities. There seems to be a common trend.

Ah yes, my favourite section of BS EN 62305, Part 3 - Annex D. The only part which actually tells you what to do rather than leave it up to interpretation.

Those feels. I've had the same, I keep getting ill at the moment too. Saying they're horrible germ factories is a bit harsh though other people. I think when you have kids, you give a lot less attention to yourself and more to them. My children are clean and currently very healthy, I am not. I have a god awful cough and a sore throat.

This wind. Man, it blows. I hope at least some of what's outside is still there in the morning.
