    Hey all,

Really I want a list of all the GTX 780's there are, listing their performance
etc. (I've been looking and I keep getting german language sites!??!)
I'm trying to find one for at the MAXIMUM £400 thinking there would be
only a couple. But turns out there is quite a few, but that just confuses me
a lot! Which is the best one currently to get or is it really neither here nor
there? I want good cooling and preferably on the quieter side.
Also warranty is kind of important.

    Thanks in advance peeps! :)
    Pete

The Gigabyte GTX 780 typically leads the pack from the various reviews I've read...

Personally I'd be swayed by the EVGA ACX GTX 780...

The only real difference between most of the GTX 780 variations is the overclocking some have and the different coolers and number of fans, there is no real big performance difference that I can see, I bought the 3GB MSI GTX 780 Twin Frozr OC and it's an excellent card and quiet for £390.
Some models that cost near £500 are just not worth it (not including the hydro copper models) your paying for the name they all have 3GB vram and 2304 cores.

You can see most models and specs here.

Yeah I've been looking at the SC ACX. Looks nice.
Just need to find a decent case to replace my ps07
    now. :)
And a good closed loop CPU cooler.

You have a similar system to mine, I've just built a 4770k, that sc acx 780 in a corsair 350d case. Using my old h100 cooler, the pc is silent i love it !

Isn't it a tight fit in the 350D?
You see I love the Air 540(think 540..) but it has
no space for HDDs!! So annoying!
The 350d is nice but I'm looking for a slightly bigger
case. I just want more space within the PC (with ATX compatibility).
Fractal designs don't do good enough cooling of gpu for
    my liking.

I only have 1 ssd and one hdd in my case, rest of them are in the server downstairs. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the 780 cards, they are beasts.

    ADD MOAR FANS!

That EVGA and ASUS DCII will be quieter and certainly comparative. Pick out some reviews! :)

I'm personally a fan of the Gigabyte card, but as others have said you can't really go wrong with any of the 780s, they're pretty epic cards.

I'm not sure how set you are on the Green team, but recently on Scan, the MSI 290 has been cut from 370 quid (too expensive, too close to 780 price) to 330 quid. That's pretty much MSRP of the stock card, but with a mere 10 quid premium for a very good cooler and a solid overclock. The 290 is more or less equal to the 780, some games AMD is a bit faster, others go to Nvidia

If AMD is a no no, then the least I can say is that the MSI Twin Frozr cooler on my 290 is very quiet and does a sterling job of keeping that toasty Hawaii CPU nice and cool. Looks like they are using the same design on the 780, so if you want a (relatively) cheap OC'd 780 with a good open air cooler, then the MSI cards should do you fine. If blower is preferred, then you really only have EVGA under 400 quid on Scan, so the choice is made for you.

Pretty much hooked on the SC ACX.

And yeah urobulos, i'm team green. :p I had stability issues with the 4*** series of Radeons
quite a bit, and couldn't be bothered anymore.
Green has been rock solid for me. Also, current AMD run very hot on air, so a big no no for me
at this point. :] Until watercooling that is... xD

Thanks all for the help. :)

    Zotac 780 AMP!

54 pence over, but by far the best pre-overclocked card for the price. Also comes with a 5 year warranty!

I'm sure you'll enjoy the EVGA though if thats what you went for. :thumb:

I have the 670 version of this, and it is THE best overclocking anything I've ever owned!
