A bit of clean beauty that my wife/mua wanted to do. A little different to my usual lighting, was a good experiment (details on Flickr).

I'd really like to get into photography, just can't afford a nice camera. That canons only really good for macro stuff.

I must admit, i don't know, however, it's definatly an Aircraft Carrier. I will try and get a better photo on Sunday, fingers crossed, weather is still good.

If it's a carrier, it's probably Illustrious, because she's homeported in Portsmouth. Dunno how often you guys have ships dock outside their homeports, but I know that it's not common.

Still, would apreciate more pics for sure :D :thumb:

Not a brilliant photo, but that was the sun rise this morning from the train station before catching the 06:40 to work. Taken on my HTC One X.

    Awesome shot, Silver!

I want to visit that wreck one of these days. How fast is it degrading out there exposed to the surf?

I tried twice while we were on vacation to get out to a wreck on the Washington Coast, but both times it was too rough and we turned back. The second time I went out solo, but between the 4 foot swell and the reflected waves from the cliffs, along with the building fog, I gave up. I was literally moving up and down so much in my kayak I was starting to get seasick.

I guess we'll wait until things calm down in May or June and try again. I REALLY want to get out to this wreck!

Well the wreck's been there for nearly eleven years and has been fairly stable for at least the past six. However, the recent chain of storms hasn't been kind. The rate of degradation seem to have accelerated since last November, particularly around the rear port quarter.

Rhenus Maratime Services have an identical ship in the RMS Voerde:
    http://www.maritime-services.rhenus.com/schiffsflotte/rms-voerde.html

Their 'voerde-general-ga-plan.pdf' download is essentially a blueprint for both ships, so you can see what was there and how much is left.

Also, random youtube video of Voerde.
YouTube video of the Mulheim's wreck.

Good luck, and take a camera. :thumb:
