    hey,

i am interested in those watercooled PSUs that u and mashie are using atm...
i have a few questions tho:
    how many watts?
    is the pump output relayed?
how much will it set me back?

    Cheers

Heh, it is fairly exclusive to BiT-Tech right now, isn't it? :hip:

    1) 250W - but don't be fooled. It's a strong little beastie.
    2) As far as I can tell with my limited knowledge of it - the pump goes on and off with soft power rather than just with the hard power from the switch at the back, has all the characteristics of a relay to me. :)
3)I'm only getting them to order right now - if I could get them premodded how I've adapted it, I'd probably buy a lot more in and try and get the price down a bit.

I did check to see if there was a chance of this but no go. :sigh:
 Maybe after September when I'm a bit more sorted with the site I'll mod them this way myself and just provide my own warranty on it.

Ther's a few more details in my Dragon Project Log including links to a pdf and a review.

    HTH. :)

Its an all aluminium PSU with a waterblock attached. The manufacturers also do a version with a passive heatsink on top, though it comes in at the same prices as the watercooled version!

www.aqua-computer.de sell them but it is much easier for Pug to get them ;):brrr:

I must say, they are seriously worth the money. Although it is only 250w, it is running a Hercules 9800 Pro (Which on the box says requires 300w), P4 3.06 which is O/C.

The voltage lines never drop below the actual rating, if anything, they are higher.
    They are seriously good :)

£230, Pug and you gave mashie one for free. That's very very generous.

Any chance of them offering one in the 500 watt range?

The price hopefully won't stay that high (unless I pre-mod them to 3-pin PC sockets on the relay outlet and take on the warranty).
It's like that to discourage sales of it until I can offer better support on them.
I have to get them in to order as well, my entire stock budget couldn't handle that many of these just sitting on the shelf. :worried:

Seeing as everyone reading this will know about the problem with the socket though, I tell you what -
Four days only, ending this Thursday, I'll do all BiT members a special offer...
Pay in full up front and quote (or post in) this thread for a 10% discount (AquaPower only).

BTW Haddy - if there's a problem with this, I won't hold it against you if you have to take it out. :thumb:

Dex - I didn't give mashie one completely free  (I could hardly afford my own),
we just worked something out. :)

BE - not to my knowledge but there's more to PSUs than just Peak Load...

    Telkman, good find.
All well and good but it is reliant on case airflow.
When I ran my rad externally, any non-w/c components (like my HDDs) that relied on secondary airflow got very hot.
I would guess that this would be the same.
Still, 350Watt Peak eh? If the combined loads on the rails is as good as that implies, that could be a nice candidate for fitting a block and relay to... given the skillz to do so, of course. :hehe:

As I see it the Heatsink is sticking out the back of the PC so its not relying on Case airflow at all. I suppose if you were DIYing a passive PSU you'd have the HS Fins sticking out of the top of the PC instead?

its german, but numbers speak for them self...

its a 350W, though they say it's got a higher output due to watercooling:

    +3,3V: ca.20A
    +5V: ca.31A
    +12V: ca.20A

thats around the range of enermax 350W if i remember correct

    239,99 euro ... :sigh:
