The mobo cradle was constructed using super glue (cyno). I grinded off the treaded pegs of some riser mounts leaving a treaded hex, dropped these into holes in the cradle and super glued them in place. The whole cradle was glued into the book using pva to allow positioning and then i used no nails to gap fill around the outside to neaten it up. As far as temps go i had the system running last night for several hours under normal use and i could comfortably touch both the north bridge and CPU so about 20-25D c
BOOK PC Now i think is the Book of the month how about a small TFT display inside so it will be a complete lan book
hey, congrats on the mod, uhh, not sure how long ago you did this, but i saw it on the nominations page. Where did you find that psu, i mean, does it power the mobo and cd-rom and HD just fine ? whats the deal with it? is that the whole thing or is there more to it outside of the book ? ANY people's knowledge would be great as well as a north american dealer (canadian) THanks
Just Finished it. The only thing on the out side is a laptop style block transformer. All the bits are available at mini-itx not sure if they ship worldwide. The PSU is rated at 55w and runs the mobo, 1x Hdd (Full or laptop), and a cdrom (laptop only). Out of general interest what nomination page?
Dammit me too, I mighta voted for it if I'd seen it http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=35360 - bards "awards"
