Tom, does the aluminum part (the nut) come in contact with the coolant in any way or form?

nope, only the POM lower body comes in contact with the coolant, the rest of the parts are shielded from the water.
I wouldnt sell a product that was not usable for anybody :p

I have a nice render video of how the fitting is constructed, the oring comes on the top of the black body of the fitting, so the aluminium is nog even near the water.

    Really nice work,
I'd like to help you with this but since I'm still a student, I don't have money to be part of the crowdfunding.
But it could help to post this on other forums like ocnet.
Hope you the best with your project

I really love those fittings, and would like too help you with your crowdfunding campaign, but i have issues chosing a color. Could you, seeing it's a separate part, sell the color rings separate afterwards ,so that people can change the color-theme of their project.

    thanks

yeah of course i will sell the color rings afterward, i understand that you might want to change the colors. that is why i chose for white led's and colored plexi, they will probably be available for 0,50 Euro or lower.

only 1 week left for the illumitube campaign!
The price per fitting starts at 7,50 euro.

on the facebook page you can find updates about the fittings.
just remember that the campaign does not have to be 100% funded to make the fittings.
