Is there any chance you could rewrite this without the excruiciating OFAH theme? I'm genuinely interested in the preview, but I'm having trouble getting more than a paragraph or two through before it annoys me too much to bother continuing. I don't think it's a solid enough joke for an article of this length given how much it disrupts the reading - a couple of paragraphs as a setup would have been more than sufficient. (Obviously, this is merely my opinion and others may well not share it, the author included!)

Sorry it wasn't to your taste. This won't be the last you'll be hearing about Elite though, I assure you of that!

I had the same issue when reading the Transistor Review. Would much prefer having the option of a Funny review & a normal one, rather than just the funny one that gets flogged to death by page 2.

Jeez guys...give the man a break. If you don't wanna read it, don't read it.

Personally, I really enjoyed it. If you want to read a vanilla review, I'm sure there's plenty of other sites out there doing just that.

No need to crush a guy's creativity or ask that the poor bloke writes the damn thing twice...once for those with a bit of patience and a sense of humour, and once for everyone else :/

I love the alternative styles of Rick's articles on here. Some of them might land a little wide of the mark for some readers, but as XXAOSICXX states above you can read a standard preview on maybe 100 other sites.

Keep it up fella, it nice to have something to differentiate the site from some of its rivals.

Epic, this game looks absolutely epic. Nice review, also quite nice having a different kind of 'tale' as it were.

Soo many Space Operas to look forward to, I like the little touches like planets gravity affecting engine power (and can you really divert more power to modules or was that the prose?)

Indeed, I probably should have mentioned I really enjoyed some of the other alternative reviews he's done, it was just his one that I didn't feel quite worked!

Just read it as Del Boy and it's simple, or Uncle Albert if it's easier. Attempting to read it out of character is likely to cause a bluescreen of the mind.

Yeah, Rick, why aren't you following the herd like a good little sheep?

Rick's articles make the site that little bit different and refreshing.
