Hardware Cooler Master CM 690 III Review

Like the new SSD mounts on the rear of the MB tray.

Dont like the lost drive caddy, I use mine alot ,it is super handy to have and was a great feature of the II.

Shame as I am sure most II users would say the same.

I had the version 1 for years, until I went with ITX build...

 

Is it just me or have the once mighty Coolermaster & Antec fallen out of favour in the case market.?

 

Cracking case. Improvements all round on 690 II and I loved that case for building in. Got two here at home.

 

I´ve been thinking that too.

 

I have 3 690 II's, a Scout and a 120 advanced and they all really well built and in my opinion look great.

I only buy CM cases these days based on past experience.

Not sure about the looks of the III it seems more angular than the II, would like to see one in the flesh though to as photos rarely tell the whole story.

Another generico black case...yawnsville.

 

I've got the 690 II, and I'm sad to see the external hard drive slot vanish. I use that SO much for cloning to backup hard drives.

 

It looks like a nice clean case, clean lines on the front, nothing crazy going on. If I do end up doing a build soon, it'll be a strong contender. I nearly bought a Stacker with my original build in my sig, so this appeals to me, albeit it looks more reasonably sized, which is good for my desk!
