Most of the celebrity deaths have gotten a quick look and "meh" comment from me. This one actually made me sad.

    May he rest in peace.

:( We've lost a true master in the acting trade, Robin Williams was easily my favourite actor and will always be one of my heroes.

I absolutely adored his part in Good Morning Vietnam, it's one of my all-time favourite films.

What a tragic loss, a great actor; one of those faces you'd always recognise, even if you couldn't put a name to the face. RIP.

Very tragic news. Depression is a terrible illness and this shows that even fame and fortune isn't enough to overcome it.

R.I.P Robin, and thanks for the magical movies you gave us

Literally just heard. Death doesn't bother me normally but this one is kind of upsetting. A genuinely funny and down to earth man.

It's such a shame that he was apparently suffering so much.

Although I loved him for his comedy, my favourite scene would be in Good Will Hunting where Matt Damon is analyzing the painting on the wall and Robin snaps and pins him to the wall by his throat.

"If you ever disrespect my wife again, I will end you! I will ****ing end you."

So serious and violent, but almost....calm..

Spot the brief moment of fear in Damon's eyes.

I thought he was a terrific actor as well as a comedian. I loved One Hour Photo, his character was totally convincing as a stalker; he made that film completely. I kept saying that he needed to do some more serious drama and thrillers, because he was seriously great. I think the problem was people normally pigeonholed him as a comedian.

One of my favourite films is a strange one; Bicentennial man. He was funny, but that film had some extremely touching moments, especially the ending.

Well sh*t, again. Depression is such a terrible thing, even the greatest, most accomplished of us can feel so low and unfulfilled that life becomes unbearable.

RIP & thanks for the memories.

Grew up with a lot of his films (mainly the family stuff), then as I got older I enjoyed his stand up stuff. Actually really sad about this one, but then on the other hand I think suicide is a really selfish way to go.

    RIP Mrs Doubtfire.
