I think I am going to look through all the coppers lying in my room or damage one a little bit and put it on auction.

just like a while back some guy sold bent nails on ebay as "art"
each nail went for like 30 bucks. box of 100 nails = 3 bucks, bending = free. man that guy made some serious dough :D

Take a piece of canvas, throw some colour on it, very very randomly of course, hammer some bent nails in here and there, stick some damaged old coins from different countries on as well, stick some pieces of broken mirror, frame it in a messed up skewed out of kilter frame in a mad colour and sell it as art from an emerging artist.

Probably get 10 times what you spent at least.

Might as well add some bloo LEDs in the frame to light it up at night while you are at it.

Who can afford to pay £41 for this kind of thing. I mean, what people actually buy this kind of joke material on ebay.

That sounds a bit complicated, it might even involve some skill. Best collect some used alcohol bottles, underwear and condoms, arrange them messily on a bed you haven't changed for 3 weeks and voila.

Not that you'd win any prestigious art prizes for that of course...

I have a theory - it's millionaires, they surf E-bay all the time for pointless crap as well as good stuff.
Ever paid a price at an auction that was decent, then in the last 5 seconds the price has tripled to what you were willing to pay; back to above the retail value? That's a millionaire, trying to get some sick pleasure from dissapointing you something horrible...

Bad news! The Sun is in the public domain under open licensing! lol. Just put a tin of tuna in a goldfshish bowl with fish ornaments and some kind of preservatative, spout on about the juxtoposiotion between the life of the tunny in compariosn to that of the gold fish (carrasius auratus), then discuss the environmental impact of the ornamental fish industry compared to that of the tunny fishing industry. A millionair in the making! lol:lol:

Please note that I meant the sun and not The Sun! I was referring to our local star, not the newspaper. lol:duh:

It's only gone so high cause it's got so much media coverage....

I wonder if the person who wins it will actually pay?

You know there are 2p coins out there worth 200 quid. When money was decimalised they used to write "NEW PENCE" on the 2p coins. Now they write "TWO PENCE". In 1983 when they made this change only a small number of coins were made with new pence written on them. If you find one of these you could make some large legitimate money on ebay :p.

Nothing non-legit about the others. If people wanna bid on it, its their money.
