Up on holiday with my folks last week and I took dad's Rebel XS out for a spin - it's an old camera but it does the trick. This is the beach across the road from their house.
The cars were see at the Tatton Festival of power last weekend. The horse was seen in a filed while I was out and about on Friday. The cars have had their saturation boosted post in LR. The horse is straight out of the camera.
From a couple of weeks ago, I was trying to catch some meteors but all I managed was a few planes. Not sure which of these two I prefer. Not quite a meteor by OmegaPoint, on Flickr Get out of my airspace by OmegaPoint, on Flickr
I prefer the sky in the first picture, and the trail and foliage from the second... just to be difficult. A little something from my day-job...
I don't often post any of my own shots in here as I don't really class them as decent enough to be interesting but having had a day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, I took the chance to have another day shooting manual all day to see If I can learn something so thought I'd post up a couple. That last one is my little monster Isabelle, taking a rare change to seek a photo while she isn't looking lol
Love that Tiger shot, but when I saw it, I just knew that a little bit of post processing would make it POP! So I had a go. I hope you don't mind. I only had the compressed version to work with, so it's a little rough, but the colours are lush!
Cheers SG - I actually tried myself as it was very flat straight out of the camera but I couldn't get a balance of the orange I wanted along with the right green for the grass. I'm a fairly proficient photoshop users as I've used it for graphics work for ages but I don't know much about post-processing and colour correction. My limits are usually more cropping and levels
I have to be honest here, I'm rubbish with PS. I let it do all the hard work by using it's auto settings most of the time. I prefer B&W photo's when I take them myself. Here's one that seems to break all the rules regarding portrait photography, but I love it. The only PP in this was to switch it to B&W and crop it.
Holy bokeh batman! Found this oldie that I took when I first got my nex-5n. Had forgotten about it, but brings back good memories. Downtown Madison
