Hi People, Here is the question, I am currently looking to upgrade my GPU and really I am struggling to make a decision of where to go. I currently have a 4850 (I know old, right). I am looking to spend up to around the £130 mark but could potentially push to £150. I am running a 1080p monitor and wanting to play new titles. I know the rest of my machine is up to the task. The question is do I buy something like a 270/270x or maybe GTX 760 or wait and see what happens with the 960 if it gets its rumoured release this month.
Just out of curiosity, what is the spec of the rest of your rig? The other question - are you dead set on buying new?
Currently I am running. i5-2400 8GB Asus P8H67-M LX 60GB Vertex 2 + 1TB WD Black Corsair CM500 And the 4850 which is definitely the week point of the system in terms of gaming performance. I would prefer to buy new.
OP doesn't have MP access just yet, but yes, there are plenty of used options around 670-level that would be just grand. The rest of the rig would complement it nicely
