Does anyone from Asus UK actually monitor this "Official Asus UK support forum"? :sigh:

If someone does, would it not be a good idea to add some helpful replies now and then?

    Good luck with that.

Asus' interaction on this site has become a joke of late. They don't deserve a partner forum IMO.

My favourite supplier Dave but I agree with you. The partnership should end

Going to need more than luck, ASUS|Mr_Orange last visited on 4th July. Had I been aware of that before I wouldn't have bothered with my first thread in this forum section.

I had real trouble with an RMA and came to this subforum for help only to receive silence. Could be worse though, could be scan. :p

Scan are very active on their forum, so that is a dumb comment to make.

Agreed - Scan are generally pretty active and responsive on their forum here. Asus should take note!

Been wondering this meself. I haven't seen him at all as of late.

Hell, the last time I saw his name, his legendary Avi was gone :eeek:

Bindi hasn't been on these forums since April. My guess is that his family commitments (I think his wife was pregnant?) and/or work commitments took over.

Sad, and hard to believe, but sometimes RL is more important than B-T :eeek:

Basic rule of RMAs in the EU:

Always go through the shop and not the manufacturer in the first two years after purchase.

With the shop being closer than the manufacturer shipping times are greatly reduced, plus unlike the manufacturer the shop can be held accountable in a Court if they screw you.

True and it's such incredible hard work to look at the post on the partner forum and post a few words

I'm sure we will hear from him again next time they want us to test a new benchmark out for them

Hah yes I know that. Still, that teaches me to buy from Comet! Annoyingly, I must have also been one of Phones4U's last customers before they went bust a week after signing me up. I never did get my £50 sign up bonus. Honestly, if any of you see me in your shop please be aware that I herald your doom and you're about to go bust. :worried:

Scan may in fact be exceedingly active for all I know, but I went to them with a genuine complaint and got nothing. It's not a dumb comment, it's what happened. I may well have been the only one who got stonewalled if you say so, mind.

Fwiw I wasn't agreeing that yours was a dumb comment, I was agreeing that Scan are at least active on these forums. I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with Scan but tbh that's not got much to do with ASUS and their presence in this forum :)

Agree with all the above regarding Asus. Not only have they ignored repeated pleas on this supposed partner forum to assist with an issue I had, they spent a week of my time sending me round in circles on an RMA that never materialised.

As a result, I have severed my ties with their products and am using rival hardware in all my builds/customer requirements now.

Let's get rid of this forum and stop buying their products and maybe they'll take note.

I've already done the latter. They were never all that special anyway.

I remember them bumping the multiplier on their mobos so CPUs ran higher than stock and some tech journos were creaming their jeans about the fantastic stock performance - notably on the Z68 and Z77 Gene boards. However, it was noted that, when overclocked, that advantage disappeared and they were back with the rest of the herd - what a surprise!

I still came here to deal with my Asus RMA and received absolutely no help.

Still, could be worse like :)

    Hi all,

Apologies for the inactivity of recent.
Basically I've been spread a bit thin lately, this will change in the near future.

And just as quickly falls asleep, most likely. Give it another few months. :D
