    Well it had to happen at some point.

    It will be interesting to see what some people do with this though.

    This is the sort of hacking that ought to be encouraged. Screw wasting time on purposeless DDoS attacks - releasing SDKs and source is (almost) always good for the consumer. The more information out there the better.

    how is releasing a closed source OS `good for the consumer`

    what will 99% of people use this for? nothing - - but it could be of benefit for those who want to hack the xbox one and use pirated games.


    so again - how is this good for the consumer?

    Another negative from this is all the multiplayer hacking that will probably arise. Remember what happened to call of duty (mostly MW2) on the previous gen consoles?
